What Customers Are Saying
This top-load washer has a large capacity that can handle bulky items effectively. The impeller design avoids an agitator and includes a built-in faucet for pre-treating stains. However, it is quite noisy during fill and spin cycles, and can become unbalanced, especially with larger loads, causing excessive shaking and vibration. There are also concerns about the overall quality and durability of the machine, with some customers reporting issues within the first couple years of ownership. Additionally, the lack of a fabric softener dispenser and unclear instructions on wash cycles are frustrations for some users.

leaks and the feet are plastic
this washer takes forever to do any load except quick, quick takes about 30 mins, but rest of settings are electricity consumers taking upwards of hour and half. the feel are plastic and give out ez, the metal that feet thread into could be thicker, but really needs metal feet to hold up, there is no center pole for it, it doesn't auto balance like it says, you have to pause it rearrange it, mop up the floor around it. it sucks!!!!!

Lasted 3 years than the transmission blew
Started making a horrible grinding noise, called a tech, said the transmission is ruined and not worth replacing. Didn't even make it three full years
Do NOT buy! Run!
Whomever designed this washer should never ever do it again and should be sentenced to use this model for the rest of his/her miserable life. The faucet feature is cool..but, making it hot or cold would be so much ahead of the 8ball instead of on the table behind. The room you have without an agitator is great. But, washers could fill both hot n cold at the same time 117 years ago but now it is cold cold cold cold cold warm cold hot cold hot cold scorch cold scorch cold scorch, yes it is this mo...
Take me back to the old dial and knob machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased in May. I really really really dislike this machine ! I would LOVE to have my old machine, with simple dial and knob for selecting "Wash" whether it be light, medium or heavy, etc. This machine wants to "figure it out for itself" and the bottom line is it is far too picky and takes far far far too long to just run a load of wash. It gives the user no credit for deciding anything..it's "sensors" decide everything. I am sure, in ...

Poor Reliability
Model WTW5010LW0 should never have been released for sale. Within first 2 years of purchase, I had to repair the "blue wire of death" (yes, so common an issue that you can Google it) twice; a very fragile blue wire that controls tub draining and is prone to breaking. Within that same time period the suspension shocks wore out. I regret this purchase every time I use the machine :(

Worse machine
Have had problems with it since day 1. So feed up I’m just getting a completely different brand. I would fix 1 thing, then have another issue. Fix that and then a different issue appears, and so on. Sick of fixing it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good washer but don't like the rounded top. Everything you set on it falls off.

Complex features mean elements to go wrong.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only had it a few weeks, but I can see issues ahead. Then, I'm a catastrophist. Only done four or five loads, and it washes nicely, is very quiet and quick. Simple to use. You don't have to tell it how big the load, how much water--just drop the clothes in and it "senses" what it meeds to do. Lid locks until the load is done. To open it, you have to turn the machine off, which doesn't turn it off at all, but first drains the tub before it unloc...

Great Product...Read Full Review for Tips of Use
This machine is a good buy for a family of 4. This is the 2nd Whirlpool machine that I have owned in 12 years. I just purchased this one in February 2024. The other Whirlpool that I owned lasted for 11 years. Here is a short Pros/Cons list for this machine. Pros: 1. Great Capacity 2. Easy to use 3. Cleans clothes very well, and the spin cycles help the clothes come out damp to limit the time the dryer has to run Cons: 1. I do not like that you have to hit the power button each time you put a lo...
