Lowes Freedom fence line from Barrette Outdoor Living is a mess with conflicts on part numbers, outdated manuals for installation on Lowes site and they don't stock by default everything to do the job properly such as this gate post which is thicker than the gate post they sell in store to support the weight of the gate. I gave them a Barrette part # direct from the manufacturer of the fence and it wasn't valid on the website so they had to go through the catalog. They had me order the wrong p...

I already had installed the 4 ft fence which Lowes stocked at the time, but needed to convert one section to a gate. This worked by getting 2 more posts with a lot of work. Just wish you still stoked the 4 ft fence and the 6 ft post, but your staff was good about helping me order it.

I bought this gate with a matching panel. When I laid it out to begin to assemble the fence, I found that the depth (the width of the outside supports) did not match the width of the fence posts. The depth of the gate was an inch and a half (1.5"). The width of the fence post was two inches (2").
