Got these as a wedding gift a month ago and they've started to rust already. The set itself was super nice when we first received it and the knives stay very sharp, but we're very disappointed that a "quality" knife set like this one immediately rusted.

Would RecommendI bought this set about a month ago-- these knifes are Sharp right out of the box and the block is heavy duty. The knifes have exceeded my expectations for quality and usefulness, the self sharpener is a nice addition also-- the only knock I would give this set is the stainless steel cover on the block came off- no biggie just reglued and all's good

Excellent Knife Set
Would RecommendThis is my second Henckels knife set (the last set lasted 19 years and survived four growing children). The knives are heavy, sharp, and flawlessly polished. The block is a heavy polished wood and stainless steel - looks great on the counter top. Henckels is the only brand I love and trust!

Would RecommendSo pleased with my purchase! The block is beautiful and I love that it’s self sharpening. The knives are very sharp. They are durable and high quality without being too heavy. Even though it says they can be washed in the dishwasher, I will hand wash because I want them to be just as beautiful in 5 years as they are today!

Would Not RecommendI purchased this knife set about two years ago, expecting good quality and durability, but I’m really disappointed. Despite regular use and proper care, the handles have become discolored and spotty, and the blades have started to rust and stain. I always hand wash and dry them right away, so this kind of wear shouldn’t happen so soon. Viola clean cut every time
Would RecommendI love my new knives. When I first tried the chef’s I threw a lime into the air and sliced it clean. I could not believe it was clean through. I tried it a few more times and viola it worked every time. I don’t recommend trying this but it was fun.
