Would RecommendCovers typical wood lumber and plywood extremely well. Not very sandable, but that's not a problem as long as you aren't looking for a multicoat primed finish.

Not the best....
Would Not RecommendUsed this to prime an entire room after scraping off popcorn stipling from the ceiling, re-muding drywall screws, joints and corners, sanding, and then wiping down and cleaning off dust. Covereage was as expected, but some primer did not adhere in some areas, craking and falling off while it was drying. I had to scrape those areas out, fill in with spackle, re-sand, and prime again. If youre thinking about buying this for the price, go for the Valspar or KILZ high-hiding primer.

Would RecommendWould like to give 4.5 stars due to slight inconsistency of thickness. Product covers well. But, even after thorough stirring, the primmer was thiiner in a few buckets. Coverage and sealing of drywall and mud was very good. Rustoleum product. Would recommend.

Would Not RecommendNo I don't recommend this product to anyone. It is VERY thin and the coverage is sporadic. Its awful. The worst primer I have ever used. Stick with Kilz.
