Would RecommendI bought this with skepticism because of some reviews online about it not working but it actually worked for my pool, I sprinkled the 2lb container over the water waited 5 minutes and added liquid chlorine, waited another 20-22 hours and the yellow algae cleared up. It actually began clearing up after about 2 hours. It was worth the money paid.

Would RecommendWe went out of town and our filter must have stopped working. We came back to a yellow and green pool. Took about 3 days to return to normal colors but still worked well. This requires a lot more product than some of the other options but seems to be cheaper than yellow out.

Would RecommendI have a smaller unseated in-ground pool 15' x 30'. It doesn't get a lot of use during the colder months. After the rainy season I will start to see some signs of mustard algae and one treatment with Yellow Gone gets my pool back clear and clean in one treatment.

Would RecommendTried to clear out algae residue in vinyl pool. Need this product plus powder chlorine. 1st treatment did not work as planned. Have a salt pool and not sure if that’s throwing things off in vinyl pool.

Would Not RecommendUsual product used in past for yellow/mustard algae has main ingredient of Sodium Bromide, but was not available when we had recent mustard algae outbreak in our 16x32 in-ground concrete pool. Tried this Yellow Gone product, which is a different chemical compound. Followed directions, pretty much same as the Sodium Bromide product mentioned. The yellow algae came back with a vengeance within couple days. Plus, water became cloudy, first time ever since pool built! Never again!
