Ratings & Reviews for WRIGHT PRODUCTS 12.875-in EZ-Hold Adjustable Black Aluminum Hold Open Screen/Storm door pneumatic closer

Hold open button on the side instead of the top

They have changed the location of the hold open button to be on the side of the cylinder instead of the top of the cylinder. This is a problem since now the button hits the inside door and doesn't allow the screen door to close.

Seems to be of good quality.

Easy to install, didn't have to make any field adjustments. Works as it suppose to. Looks great and works great.

Love This

When shopping to replace a broken storm door closer, I came across this product and very happy to have done so. This is a solidly built unit that I expect to last many years. It's easy to install, has adjustable closure force & speed, and works reliably. The hold-open feature is a "gotta have" in my book. No more looking around the yard for a rock or brick to prop open the self-locking door while you make multiple, arms full trips from car to kitchen. One tap on the locking cap and the door stay...

Ez hold

Like really works great, only problem with it can't find the adjustment on it.

Great Closer

Replaced both closers on my Mom's door and now it closes like new.....would buy this product again.

Good product

Replaced the Anderson door closure with the EZ-Hold and it works great.

It worked once

The closer froze in the open position and would not release after opening the door one time. I should have returned for a refund, but I feel better about the adjustment I made to it and reinstall the original door closer. Recommend this to a friend?? I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

Roll the dice

Defective need to return or exchange, jumping during close operation.

Probably works great for a screen door

Simple mounting and adjustment. A bit disappointed in the performance however. I purchased this to close my aluminum frame glass storm door. After mounting and adjusting, it functioned perfectly. But I was standing inside with the house door open at the time. It worked great. Then I went outside, closed the house door, and let the storm door go. It would not close all the way because it didn't have enough power to overcome the air pressure between the two doors. No amount of adjustment could ove...

Doesn't open far enough

I bought this and a non easy hold open. This one doesn't open as far as the non easy hold open which lists it as .20 inches smaller than this one.

Stiff

It’s very stiff spring. Door is hard to open.

this product works like it is made to do

it works as it should

Well-made, but poor design

Very poor design, the Release leave her faces sideways instead of up you go to move furniture and drip off the release, lever poor design
