Good choice for limited mobility
We have an older parent living with us that is mobile, however slow moving. When leaving or returning to the house it was best to lock the door in the open position. Purchased this unit due to its ease-of-use for holding the door open amd releasing. Much easier to use than traditional units that have the sliding lock washer on the shaft.

This thing sucked, absolutely the worst. Noisy, sticky, failed in two weeks.

Poor quality
Would Not RecommendTried to install. Found that it would not close the door due to ineffective parts. Lowe’s would not exchange due to new policy. Will not be shopping at Lowe’s since they don’t honor the quality of the products they sell
