I've been looking for a reliable knife sharpener

I've been in the hunt for a good reliable knife sharpener for a while. This does the trick! Gives a repeatable sharp edge on whatever knife you have. It's not hard or tricky, but whatever knife you have in mind when you get this, don't let it be the first knife you sharpen. Because it is an electric powered belt sander, you have the ability to also absolutely destroy your knife if you don't use it correctly.

It's sharp

We have some cheap kitchen knives that are extremely dull and chipped. I have tried different kinds of sharpeners and nothing. So I didn't have high hopes for this one, but to our surprise it sharpened the cheap knife so well that I can cut paper with them. I also have a pair of scissors that were rusted and did not cut anything. So I said what the heck let me try them. Boy this did the job. The scissors cut like new. So overall it works well for my needs

Pretty good, but not pro-level.

Over-all I found this sharpener to be pretty good. It is a fast. easy system to get a reasonably sharp edge on most knives and scissors. I would not recommend it for any heavy-duty sharpening or grinding such as mower blades or axes. Good selection of belts are included, however, I would have liked to have two stropping belts instead of the single one include. Great Addition to Shop Tools

I learned to sharpen on a whetstone and used them for decades. Then I discovered the diamond stone system. Amazing, but it takes a lot of time, especially when you wait to do several knives at once. Easy to hold, fits right in your hand. Puts a great sharp edge on my knives. Small enough to hold, not too big that it is clumsy. I will sharpen everything with this, very versatile

The “Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener Mk.2” has 3 slots for sharpening- the 2 at the top both support 20 or 25 degree blades, there is a 3rd slot lower for scissors at 65 degrees. Works wonders

Was very unsure at first on this. Seemed pretty difficult to set up and use plus I already had a knife sharpener but this thing is awesome. Easy to use, leaves razor sharp edges and not as loud as I expected. I had some dull knives and know I want to sharpen everything. Would definitely recommend.

A Sharpener That Really Works

Pros: Makes sharpening knives, scissors, mower blades and even axes a relatively easy task. It is easy to control and operates predictably. Inclusion of built-in guides for sharpening various knife blades (including serrated blades) a welcome feature. Quiet operation. Easy to change-out belts. Cons: Belts wear out a little faster than I anticipated and a fine grit belt shredded during operation.

I was expecting great results from this knife and tool sharpener. I was let down. The plastic body feels too flimsy while grinding. The sanding belts are too thin, they will wear out too fast. This sharpener works great on knives. I used it on all of our kitchen knifes. Easy to use and does an excellent job of putting a sharp cutting edge on the knives. Tool comes with and assortment of belts in different grits. I really like how easy the sharpener is easy to use. Says it will do other tools with an edge as well. I have alway been terrible at sharpening anything other than a pencil. So I got this in hopes of improving my skills. I would like to say that overnight they changed but they didn't. One look at it, you make think it’s a small belt sander. But it is a tool that has sharpened my wife’s long awaited kitchen knives. You will definitely need to read the instructions in order to utilize the right belt for the type of utensil being sharpened. It also allows has debuting ability that I haven’t tried yet.
