Ratings & Reviews for Whirlpool Built-in Water Faucet High Efficiency Impeller Large ( 4.6-cu ft ) Top-Load Washer ( White )
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
This top-load washer has a large capacity that can handle bulky items effectively. The impeller design avoids an agitator and includes a built-in faucet for pre-treating stains. However, it is quite noisy during fill and spin cycles, and can become unbalanced, especially with larger loads, causing excessive shaking and vibration. There are also concerns about the overall quality and durability of the machine, with some customers reporting issues within the first couple years of ownership. Additionally, the lack of a fabric softener dispenser and unclear instructions on wash cycles are frustrations for some users.

Lasted 3 years than the transmission blew
Would Not RecommendStarted making a horrible grinding noise, called a tech, said the transmission is ruined and not worth replacing. Didn't even make it three full years
leaks and the feet are plastic
Would Not Recommendthis washer takes forever to do any load except quick, quick takes about 30 mins, but rest of settings are electricity consumers taking upwards of hour and half. the feel are plastic and give out ez, the metal that feet thread into could be thicker, but really needs metal feet to hold up, there is no center pole for it, it doesn't auto balance like it says, you have to pause it rearrange it, mop up the floor around it. it sucks!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good washer but don't like the rounded top. Everything you set on it falls off.

Worse machine
Would Not RecommendHave had problems with it since day 1. So feed up I’m just getting a completely different brand. I would fix 1 thing, then have another issue. Fix that and then a different issue appears, and so on. Sick of fixing it.

Would Not RecommendWasher barely lasted a year until it started having issue. Failed load start capacitor and now a lid lock fault. Save your money
Poor Reliability
Would Not RecommendModel WTW5010LW0 should never have been released for sale. Within first 2 years of purchase, I had to repair the "blue wire of death" (yes, so common an issue that you can Google it) twice; a very fragile blue wire that controls tub draining and is prone to breaking. Within that same time period the suspension shocks wore out. I regret this purchase every time I use the machine :(

Do NOT buy! Run!
Would Not RecommendWhomever designed this washer should never ever do it again and should be sentenced to use this model for the rest of his/her miserable life. The faucet feature is cool..but, making it hot or cold would be so much ahead of the 8ball instead of on the table behind. The room you have without an agitator is great. But, washers could fill both hot n cold at the same time 117 years ago but now it is cold cold cold cold cold warm cold hot cold hot cold scorch cold scorch cold scorch, yes it is this mo...
Don't buy
Would Not RecommendThis washer stopped working less than 2 years after purchase. Don't waste your money
only last 1 year
Would Not RecommendThe control board went out at 1 year (13 months). It is just me and my husband so the washer is not overloaded, not much laundry to wash and not used every day.

wiring issues
Would Not RecommendThis washer stopped working after a year. Has a common wiring issue that stops it from draining. Had to re-wire the drain pump. After about another year, it stopped working again so I just tossed it.
Barely lasted 2 years
Would Not RecommendStarted having problems with it at about 18 months.

Loudest junk ever
Would Not RecommendThis thing started squealing and screaming during every single spin cycle less than a month after purchase. Weve called and asked for support multiple times. Its barely a year old and its already broken down worse than our 20 year old washer did. Garbage. AVOID THIS ONE.

Lowes not complying with warranty
Would Not RecommendEven the executive office of Lowes is incompetent to resolve a simple issue I’ve been waiting for a technician for over a month they haven’t sent they sent it to the wrong address and now I don’t get an appointment until next month. This is ridiculous. It’s unacceptable. I am going to request a full refund.

Replacing - Broken after 2 years
Would Not RecommendThis washer stopped working 2 years and 1 day after purchasing. The agitator stopped working, the tub wouldn't drain and the lid latch wouldn't lock. It is unusable. I am having to replace it already! My new machine will not be a Whirlpool or any of its other brands Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid and JennAir.
Complete junk!
Would Not RecommendThis isn’t the first time I’ve been had by Whirlpoop. Previous washer had 3 problems in 5 years. My current washer lasted only 2 years and now it has multiple problems with the repair costs being greater than the value of the machine. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpoop product again.
