Ice maker breaks

I bought this January 2024 and I’ve already had to fix the ice maker twice. I love this fridge but I would not buy if I knew I had to replace ice maker parts every year.

Ice Maker stopped working 16 months after purchase with no help from guide on troubleshooting

Looks Great- Poorly Made. Do not recommend.

Our fridge is not even three years old and we've already had it serviced three times (twice for the same issue). First the light, and then the cooling fan- we've had to go without a fridge for nearly a week on three different occasions, not to mention losing all our food each time because the fridge stopped cooling. Given the fact this fridge has given us several issues already, we would absolutely NOT recommend.

Poorly made

I have had to have the LED light replaced 3 times. The gasket that surrounds the top doors moves constantly and gets squashed, it is now starting to tear. The "silver' on the shelving is wearing off and looks horrible. I have never been so disappointed with a Whirlpool product as I am with this one.

Well designed refrigerator!

Cooling issues

I am reaching out to you regarding the cooling or lack of in my refrig. I actually love this double french door refrigerator. The inside is small which keeps me from storing things i don't need. The little ledge between the upper refrig and lower freezer is perfect for holding object while you storing food inside. Or taking it out. My problem is the cooling system keeps breaking down. Nice fridge for the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After almost 2 months, overall, the fridge seems to be working well. Temps seem consistent and even. It's taking some time to adjust to the different layout from our previous 26yr old fridge. The door shelves should be a bit more adjustable (1.5L wine bottles don't fit). Fits our kitchen very well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had side-by-side refrigerators before, but this one is set up so you can open one side and and shelves only on that side. Also, this is a counterdepth unit and fits perfectly, allowing a clear walkspace in front.

Works For Us

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second purchase of this model (first one conveyed with a home sale). We have found that the four French doors are the best configuration for us. For those buying this model, please know that we had to get a replacement unit as the first one had a clogged defrost drain line (it was foamed up). The replacement unit works great!

Great Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like this refrigerator. We had one at our former house and left it when we moved knowing we would buy the same one again. Our new refrigerator had to be returned as the drain tube was foamed sometime during manufacturing, but received our new one last week. I like not having the whole refrigerator open when looking or reaching for something inside.

Nice Refrigerator

Very satisfied. I especially like the pull out shelves in the freezer and temp control on each of the freezers. Fridge is roomy and fits odd size containers easily.

Whirlpool no longer builds quality products.

This thing is a piece of junk. I bought one 2 years ago and within 6 months the front display stopped working. Six months later the icemaker quit. 2 years in and the internal light quit. I’m disappointed because I bought Whirlpool because it is supposedly made in the U.S. I won’t make that mistake, again!

Too late for 2nd thoughts

The lighting inside is only at the very top and it leaves the lower shelves dim. The selves inside the refrigerator are not adjustable. I have a wall on one side of the refrigerator space and a huge gap is needed for the door to open wide enough to remove the shelves and bins for cleaning.

Love the Bottom Freezer with Doors!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are so glad you make a bottom freezer with doors. We had 2 other models with doors over the course of 25 years and absolutely did not want a freezer drawer. Being able to customize the temperature in the 2 halves separately is a an extra bonus. Overall it is a bit smaller than most (okay for only 2 of us) and there is limited flexibility with the door shelving in the refrigerator, but we would definitely buy it again.

The ice maker stopped work

The ice maker stopped work and the part is more than $500. I called whirpool and they couldn't help me. Disappointed

Flexible storage

I’ve had mine about a year. Love it! I use handled bins to separate breads, cheeses, meats, canned beverages, etc. counter depth is the best! The freezer compartments allow me to separate what I reach for most- ice, and my frozen stocks, meats, prepared items in less accessed area. I’m moving this year and will purchase one for my new home.

The fridge has a lot more room than our old one and the dishwasher is so quite that you have to really listen to even know that it is running.The fridge is a 4 door with lots of room in the fridge and the freezer, so much so that you don't have to move every item to search for something. Best investment ever.
