The fridge has been great, until it hasn’t! The technicians that are sent out don’t have a clue how to fix anything! It started with the ice maker not working. Today was the 3rd trip out to fix the problem. The last time the guy said he didn’t know how to take the fridge apart, so they sent the same guy back. Lowes protection plans

Fridge was great until the ice maker stopped working. Well I bought the extended warranty. Well it’s pretty much garbage. The factory certified tech that came out didn’t even know how to take the fridge apart to fix it. All he did was break my fridge. Broke the plastic panel on the top of the inside and broke my top lights in the fridge. Was banging so hard that it was knocking my food out of the fridge. Packed his tools up and left. Do not buy Whirlpool, disappointing warranty serv.

This fridge lasted 18 months. Extended warranty call took 4 days to come out. After a month of waiting for the part and no fridge, the warranty refunded us the money after we requested that resolution. The manufacturer never responded to requests for ETA on the part (compressor). Warranty repair company was not friendly, not in a hurry, and clearly not looking for us to become a customer being the warranty claim. Two repair guys from different companies said not to buy a Whirlpool.

Ice maker

Since then I've had service people over over 12 times in the past 2 years to replace or repair my ice maker, my compressor, my relay switch, and a couple other things including a door. The refrigerator has been a complete failure for me. It would have cost me thousands of dollars if I didn't have the warranty program on it. The refrigerator is not worth what I paid for it

DO NOT BUY MAKES SO MUCH NOISE

from the very first day the people that delivered if didnt set up doors currently. the ice maker makes so much noise all day and nite....ice maker 2 doesn't make cubs at all just frozen block at bottom. this is why I hate goin to lowes cheap and bad employees that dont knw what there talking about

we bought a whirlpool refrigerator in April 2024. Rust formed on the door in the water dispenser side, and technical teams saying we need to spend 1000$/- to replace the door to fix it. what kind of product Whirlpool is selling to customers ? We are not happy with this refrigerator.

ice ice baby

after a little over 2 years, started having issues with in door ice maker. Started with ice cubes suddenly getting small. Had a hard time finding someone to work on it. Finally replaced water valve but now getting large cubes but stuck together and water leaking out of icer maker in ceiling of fridge. POOR design.

Got 2 grand to buy new refrigerator every 2 years

Bought it in Dec. 22, 2023 and as of May 22, 2026 it has quit working. Repair man said better off buying a new one than replacing compressor.

Whirlpool refrigerator I will not recommend

Terrible Refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator from Lowe's in May of 2023. We were very pleased with the features, size, looks, etc. Fast forward to December of 2024. First service call after a failed evaporator fan. Lost a fair amount of food at that time. I am a career electrician and had a pretty good idea of the problem before I called a local appliance repair tech out. Unreliable Refrigerator

I have owned this refrigerator for under one year, and the freezer has already suffered a total system failure. Because this happened over the weekend—when Whirlpool provides no customer support whatsoever—I had no way to get assistance from them. As a result, every single item in the freezer was destroyed. Giant Piece of Garbage

Horrible appliance. Do not buy Whirlpool. The fridge has randomly been dinging at all hours of the day and night for months and they’re extremely slow at ‘trying’ to fix it. We’ve had 2 repair men out and are just told parts are back ordered and to live with it.

Four Year Compressor Failure

Bought this refrigerator in 2022 for well over $2,000.00. Less than four years later the compressor is done. Repairman said it will cost close to that for parts and labor to fix it. Very disappointed in this purchase and product. My $75 used 100 year old beer fridge still works with no issues but my $2,600 4 year old family fridge is dead - just like my faith in Whirlpool refrigerators. Buyer beware!! :o(

It Keeps food cold and frozen but that's it

Very true to description.

Not so good

This fridge does not hold up, seals crumble/rip fast, ice maker went out within a year. Had to replace lights within a year and keep going out , drawers break fast also. Trying to get someone on the phone or chat is nearly impossible to discuss my concerns. Also have had issues with the matching gas stove and dishwasher. Such a shame whirlpool use to be great.
