18 mo. pump out

I have had this machine for 4 years. 18 mo. in the pump went out. Got it going (at my cost) and never cleaned well again. Always a residue or dirt on everything. Pump just went out again. Buying new one. My 30 year old machine prior to this one did much better than this one. Caps on top rack continually fell off. The only good thing I can say about this dishwasher is that it IS very quiet! I will never buy whirlpool again, not same quality as years ago.

Is it mold or is it dirt inside the dishwasher

There is not a self clean option. I opened the dishwasher and all the doors and corners have moisture dirt or fungus growing. I was thinking I should clean the filters but the online manual does not have any disammbled instructions under the FILTRATION SYSTEM. So it's useless to me

Terrible

Nothing but problems. This is fairly new. We have cleaned it several times. We even clean dishes before putting them in the washer. The racks rust easily within the first year and ruin dishes. It does not wash well. It builds up with gross stuff in some areas consistently. It doesn't rinse well. You can hear moisture trapped somewhere when you open and close the dishwasher.

Lasted less than 3 years

Bought in 8/22, it's now 5/25 so less than 3 years and it is no longer working. It's almost as much to repair it as it is to buy a new one.

Won't last long

I bought this dishwasher August 2022. It lasted until December 2024. It should have lasted a lot longer than this. Also, it does not get a lot of use due to the fact that is only used half the year during the summer months.

Didn't even last 3 years

Didn't even make it 3 years. Started making funny sounds, then just stopped altogether. Stainless was prone to water and rust spots. Plastic interior = loud and traps germs and grime. Never again.

Poor QUALITY

WhirlpoolBrand Bad quality Purchased the dishwasher used it maybe 20 times and it started leaking from bottom of door. Whirlpool wouldn’t do anything to try and assist me. Called an appliance guy and he said poor quality of workmanship on the dishwasher. I’d like my money back or a new dishwasher PLEASE

efficient and silent

Roomy interior for a big bang Animals don’t freak out also ! Making it a win win for our family

Motor broke in Jan 2025 after June 2022 install

Do not buy this trash. Have to replace the dishwasher after motor broke in less than 3 years of use.

Not Happy

Silverware does not get clean and often there is soap left all over dishes and silverware near the dispenser. Tired of rewashing silverware and several dishes.

Corroded and snapped heating element

Worked great until: Loved this dishwasher. I noticed it stopped drying dishes a few days ago. I figured not a big deal, I'll just let them air dry. BUT, then I noticed the heating element is actually corroded in one spot and snapped. Apparently this is a common issue. I can not fix this myself, and it is not safe to run with a snapped heating element- fire hazard as well as potential for leaking which leads to mold which my family is extremely sensitive to. Ok Dishwasher

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It came brand new with the house. It isn’t a horrible little dishwasher, but don’t love the lack of options (example —> delay in wash is limited) and the grid for placing dishes in. It cleans good though.
