I haven't used it yet but so far so good.. it has the features that I wanted at a reasonable price and weight

EFI is the answer

AWESOME PRODUCT. Love the dual fuel option and the no carburetor is perfect for a generator.

Great backup power!

Bought as another means of charging our Anker Solix systems and it works great. Gone through the break-in period and performed the first oil change. Everything has been great so far. Only tested with LP, but appreciate having the option of running gas if need be.

Initial start up

I purchased the unit yesterday and started it today. I have been testing loads to see the estimated remaining run time and other features. It has been running an hour, and I have been varying the load as recommended in the Break in Instructions. The only issue I see so far, is the unit came with the battery plugging in and it was dead, so I pull started it. I am hoping after running the unit the battery will take charge and be ok.

Sofar so good. Remote start for the win!

Sofar so good. I have about one hour on it. I would compare the loudness to a floor vacuum maybe a little quieter. I plan on using this with a diesel heater for my rooftop tent in the winter.

Quiet and runs most of my house

I bought this and hooked it to my house. I am able to run quite a bit of my house so when I need it I am ready to go and it gives me peace of mind for the next time the power goes out. It is very quiet and doesn’t take up much room. Easy set up and I know my wife can turn it on if I am not home with no difficulty.

just received yesterday very nice sturdy generator, only small problem recoil cover is bent, but Westinghouse is working on getting me another one.

Product looks very good, except panel on one side will not close properly.

I've on ran it 5 hours but it seems to work as advertised - so this is not a long term review.

Great features of they worked!

Unit came damaged but appeared to only be cosmetic damage on the plastic housing. I could live with that and keep the unit but when I start the unit, it will only run for a few seconds then shutdown. Oil is full, electric connected. I charged for 3 hours but no way to tell if it fully charged as no indicator lights. I only bought it to run on propane so haven't tried gasoline. I'll give Westinghouse a chance to troubleshoot and get it working before I finalize my review so this is preliminary.

Overview and Specification pages don't match

Run time at 25% load says 12 hrs and 18 hrs. Fuel Tank amounts don't match. Give Specifics comparing Carburetor model vs EFI. Looks like Carb model runs 6 hours longer because of larger tank? how does fuel efficiency compare?

Generator in the shop more than not

I bought two generators. I've owned my 4500 for four years. It hasn't worked for a complete year since owned. The longest I had it in my possession was 9 months. It has a total of 20 hours on it. Currently it's in the shop for over one year and it's still not fixed.

Amazing Product!

After comparing different brands, I decided to go with westingHouse and I am not disappointed! All the features are amazing and it starts up every time. Absolutely zero complaints about this generator!

Great features

This model has all the features that I wanted. I especially like the EFI because I do a lot of RV camping at high elevation and I didn't want to have to change jets in a carburetor or mess with cleaning and adjusting a carburetor. This model runs perfectly so far. It's the second one I've had. The first one never ran out of the box so I had to return it to the store. If my current unit keeps running like it does now, I'll be a happy camper.

Thoughtful Consideration!

If a device is not used for a long time , its battery can become completely discharged. The idea of making it easy to remove the battery to extend its lifespan is excellent.

It looks just like the picture! I haven't actually used it yet, but it's probably fine and I will update this review if anything changes.

I was looking for a portable, quiet generator to run my RV when off grid. The Westinghouse iGen5000DFC EFI has all of the features and functions I was looking for at a reasonable price.
