Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse ecoGen10000 Remote Electric Start 10000 Starting / 7600 Running Watt Gasoline Single Fuel Inverter Generator

Good value for an inverter generator

I bought this generator as insurance in case we have another ice storm next Winter. I can’t give a detailed review because I’ve only just received it, but it does appear to be built well. After setting it up, floating the neutral, and plugging it into my new generator outlet it powered everything in my house, including the fridge, oven, microwave, coffee pot, lighting and fans without bogging down (as expected). I also plugged in a couple blow dryers to simulate the space heaters I haven’t purc...

Works. We'll see how much better with altitude kit

I've only had this for a couple of weeks, but so far it works as expected. I'm able to use it to power a stick welder, which was the biggest reason I bought it. I was using it at an altitude of 7000ft and it still worked well. Only issue is that the auto-choke was not opening up as soon as it should, but the high altitude kit has just arrived and it may well work better once that is installed.

Great as a emergency backup

I bought this item a week ago and I love it. I use it for emergency backup for my house, and even though I do not use the entire power that it offers, I'm really happy with its performance.

Dead on Arrival

I could be a good generator, only the box it was in was already damaged. Once opened and inspected, the gas tank was dented and the Pull Cord housing was damaged with the pull cord hanging out of the housing about 4 inches. You could see damage inside of the Pull Cord Housing.

Good unit.

I purchased this for my home backup and as needed for other projects. Been a good purchase. Easy to move with wheel and handles.

Westinghouse ECO 10000

Generator seems very well made. Got good reviews. Instructions for operation are very helpful and well documented. Paired remote start with no problems and unit started up on very first attempt. I use it to power my mini splits and it works great. The fold down handle and wheels are a good design.

Great features

I haven’t had a need for it yet but did my research and am hopeful it is an excellent product!

It sounded too good to be true

Purchased about 6 months ago never had a load on it power went out and is not producing power. it's been a hassle there are no servicers in my area so I need to figure out how to get this Beast to someone that services this thing.

Failed on first use

Failed on first use. Ran great for about 1 hour - 2 small window unit AC's and small electronics. Added a fridge too to test capacity. After 20 minutes the engine bogged down and shut off. Now it is incapable of starting. Only backfires. I have done all troubleshooting I can do and now need to ask for support. Cannot return to store since oil/gas have been added, so that sucks because I would probably rather just return it than try to fix it. Very disappointed that it didn't survive 2 hours on i...

Use this generator to power sensitive electronics

So far, not a problem as hardly used. Good generator with great features. Like the inverter model in order to use sensitive electronics

Very durable!

The ecoGen10000 Inverter Generator with CO Sensor is a great generator. I highly recommend

Great Features...easy starting

We just received our new ecoGen10000 generator. It started up without any issues. Filling the motor oil is difficult. The motor is shaking considerably, we hope this stops eventually. The generator has great features such as easy FOB starting.

Great unit powers our camper we live in fulltime. Wish we had a bit more power to.

We bought the Ecogen 10,000 a couple of months ago. Very easy to set up, quiet when I ran to test the unit. Have not got a chance to put it to use but appears to be solidly built. Love the idea of the remote start
