Lover the Weber transition to electric

We have been long timew Weber Q fans. But we travel in a travel trailer a lot and got tired of carrying around a tank of propane (and way too often forgetting to turn the grill off and burning up gas at night!) So we were delighted to see the electric option, which we have been using for a month. We love it. Easy to use and clean; gets very hot; good controls. Enthusiastically recommend it.

Fantastic , well made electric grill!

I have many grills and smokers; charcoal, pellet, and propane, plus the Ninja Woodfire oven. I wanted to add an electric grill and seriously considered the Ninja Woodfire Grill. Best electric grill on the market

Unfortunately Florida laws prohibit the use of gas grills on condo lanais. I have tried several electrics over the years (including an expensive Kenyon that I just threw away) and the Lumin is the first to reach 600 degrees for searing steaks and burgers. Having the large temperature range has allowed cooking many different foods.

Unit didn't work

Unfortunately, our unit only worked for 20 minutes before it would no longer heat up. The company sent us a new heating unit but it still didn't work. We decided to return it as we did not want to waste any more time trying to fix a brand new item we never got to use.

Great option for City living

Living in a city that does not allow open flame grilling, Lumin Grill is a great option. Heavy grates gives good sear/grill marks, cooking times different than open flame, takes longer to heat up. Overall great option LOVE IT

Couldn't be more disappointed!

I have been a very satisfied Weber customer for more than 4 decades, but my recent experience with Weber and the Lumin grill is the reason for the 1-star rating. If possible, I would have given zero stars. I have owned the Lumin Electric Grill since October 21, 2023. It’s the perfect grill for my NYC terrace. Looks beautiful. Great grill flavor. And cleans very easily. Makes me happy every time I use it.

Great addition for my outdoor cooking

I already own and use a Weber classic kettle, and I bought the Lumin as an extra option for those days when we just want to throw something on the barbecue without the ceremony of preparing the ember. I love the fact that it’s electric. It allows for precise temperature control if needed, and at the highest setting it reaches temperatures between 400F-500F with ease, after 15 minutes of pre-heating more or less (in summer). It's really hot!

This grill has the power to really sear meat and vegetables and cook them quickly. It takes a bit of time to reheat even with a quick open, but this has not really dimmed its overall capacity to do the job better than other electric grills.

Inconsistent Temperatures

The design and functionality of this grill is great, however, I am getting very inconsistent temperatures under the same weather conditions and using the same outlet. Sometimes I’m able to get 550°, other times, nly 350°. It has a temperament of its own.

Exceeded expectations

I am very pleased with my new Weber Lumin BBQ. My condo board recently approved the ability to have an electric BBQ on our balconies and the Lumin is perfect for condo building balconies. No problem reaching 600 degrees + so other than the time to reach that temperature, it performs like a gas BBQ. Very happy with the performance.
