Easy to carry but don’t like vents on side
Well made, easy to take with us, but unlike our old Smokie Joe, the vents are on the sides, not in optimum position. The air flow isn’t as good, and it doesn’t get as hot.

Second Smoky Joe Purchase in 52 Years!
Would RecommendI have had a Smoky Joe since 1972 and use it for camping with tents and then camping travel trailers all that time. It’s still in fine shape in my storage compartment in my Travel Trailer! So I decided to by another for use when I travel without the trailer. The premium model has that locking cover which is great for lack of mess creations. Great Little Smokey
Would RecommendVery nice little grill for 2 people. Lights up quick with a chimney and hardwood charcoal. When done close all the air holes and almost all the remaining charcoal is saved for the next time. A nice switch from gas. I light the chimney on the gas side burner. Ready to cook in 3 minutes!

Great smoky flavor I remember from my younger days
Would RecommendWorks as it should. We haven't completely figured out how best to control the temperature to avoid excessive burn, and how to extinguish the coals, but that's on us, not the barbeque.

Awesome grill
Would RecommendI appreciate the small size and grill right on top of my glass patio table. More convenient then my pellet smoker able to quickly grill enough burgers, brats or stakes for a family of 4 + leftovers. Small size helps me not waste charcoal.
