Would Not RecommendThis product is not what I expected, the air vents are at the top of the kettle which prevents the coals getting hot enough to sear meats. Very poor design.

Good construction, poor design
Would Not RecommendI replaced a small older model with the 14" design. The construction quality was up to par, however the design/function was completely unacceptable. The side air vents do not allow for adequate airflow. Keeping charcoal burning consistently when top vent is damped down is nearly impossible. Slow cooking/smoking is just not possible with this design. I wanted a grill small enough to take car camping. This grill in fact fit that bill. Unfortunately the function leaves much to be desired. Delicious burgers on the smokey joe
Would RecommendAfter grilling with my Weber family of gas grills i decided to get a small charcoal and why wouldn't it be a Weber. My son and i enjoyed a couple hamburgers the other night and we weren't disappointed and they tasted just like i remember.

Never again dealing with Weber
Damaged product terrible customer service. They refused to replace the severely damaged item they shipped out but only replace the lid and base. Lid was on back order so asked why they would not ship an entire new box?!?!?! That’s like having a damaged zipper on a new pair of pants and sending the customer just the zipper.

The perfect charcoal grill for a couple
Would RecommendThis is my third Smokey Joe Premium (aka the "Gold" model) in nearly 25 years and is the perfect size for my wife and me to grill outdoors year 'round. The grill can be completely "buttoned up" after grilling which conserves on charcoal and minimizes the mess. It's still big enough to cook directly or indirectly so if you're into the "indirect sear" approach to cooking steak then this will still work for you.
