What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this product as an essential multi-purpose solution for lubrication, rust removal, and eliminating squeaks throughout homes and garages. Most highlight its unmatched versatility and decades-long reliability, with many keeping multiple cans on hand. The Smart Straw design receives strong approval for precise application and stream-to-spray switching, though some report clogging or spray failures. A small group notes cans stopping prematurely when partially full, but these concerns are far outweighed by widespread satisfaction. Overall, reviewers consider it an indispensable, trusted staple.

A Good Product For Many Applications
Would RecommendI was shocked that I didn't have any in my shed. I needed to loosen some nuts to take down an old satellite dish. This is what it's best at. Just remember that this compound is, really, not for general lubrication. Use a light oil instead.

Great TAR desolving agent
Would RecommendI was very pleased with my purchase of WD40. I used only a quarter of the gallon to clean my 4 door white pickup truck which was covered in the lower quarter with tar from the chip seal method of laying gravel to resurface our roads in the Sacramento Mountains. It was easy to spray and wait a short time and wipe it clean. No scrubbing. If it happens again, I still have plenty.
