Ratings & Reviews for Valspar Color-Changing Flat White Ceiling Paint Paint and Primer ( 1-gallon )
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise this ceiling paint's color-changing feature, which goes on purple or pink and dries white, making coverage easier to track and reducing missed spots. Many report excellent one-coat coverage with a smooth, professional finish. However, some find the tint too faint to be effective, leading to inconsistent results and occasional repainting. Most customers credit the innovation with improving application confidence, though a notable group experienced unreliable color visibility that undermined the product's core benefit.

Would Not RecommendBeing there is a darker purple right on the label, you’d think that is the purple you’d be seeing. Nope. You can barely see any tint on a bright day. It only lasts a few minutes. Then, you’re going back over spots. No worries though. You’d have to go over the ceiling multiple times to get coverage. Worst part is even with primer, it cracks! I do not recommend.

Flat finish hides imperfections well. The pink coloring doesn't show up enough to warrant its use. Its lower cost makes it a good choice for walls as well as ceilings.

Innovative!
Loved the color changing aspect! Painting a flat white ceiling with flat white paint can be tedious, but not with this! Knew exactly where i was!

Great Paint
Would RecommendPaint goes on very nice. Color change is why I bought it. It makes it easy to see where you have painted on the ceiling. Bright white.

No color change
Would Not RecommendBought this thinking the color change would be helpful. It was so faint you could barely tell. Paint went on very thick and was difficult to roll. Also had a very bad chemical smell to it.
