What Customers Are Saying
The digital timer has a large display and dual outlets, which some users found to be useful features. However, many customers reported issues with programming the timer, describing the instructions as unclear and the device as difficult and complicated to set up. Several users experienced problems with the timer resetting, losing time, or randomly turning on and off, leading some to return or replace the product. While a small subset of customers were able to successfully program the timer and found it to be a capable and flexible device, the overall consensus is that the product is unreliable for many users.

Would Not RecommendI have 4 other timers to compare this to. Bought this one for it’s heavy duty, grounding outlet capability. Turns out to be the worst piece of garbage of all timers. Programming window is about 5 seconds then it reverts back to operating mode. Took about 30 minutes to program for a one daily cycle use. After I installed it worked one time only. Then the time sey changed by 7 hours. Buyer beware - this is really bad. My fault. Should have read the reviews before i bought it.
Utiltech Timer
Would RecommendThis model works well for me. I have several others of this same model, and the thing I especially appreciate is the fact that no batteries are required (all built-in), and it keeps remarkably accurate time during the year. I primarily use these at Christmas, and I find that they are consistently very close to the accurate time even over the space of a year. Programming is simple, once you become familiar with how to do it. The queue on the screen is a bit misleading, as it refers to setting...

Great digital timer
Would RecommendI bought this digital timer because I needed something to turn lights on/off and not make a lot of mechnical noise. This fit the bill. The timer is in a quiet sun/reading room and manages an overhead lamp and salt lamp throughout the day. Where we used to wake up to a dark house in the morning, we now have some nice ambient light. It can be tricky to get this timer programmed, but once you have it set up, you’ll be impressed.
Learn how to read instructions, seriously!
Would RecommendHave owned for about a month. Seriously, if you can't read instructions on how to program something, then don't buy it. Yeah, it's tedious, oh my, you must hit a button multiple times, BOO-HOO. Do you want a timer that allows you to run something on Tuesday from 2am to 4pm, then Wednesday 5pm to 7pm, Saturday from 8pm to 6am? Then yes, this timer will work, but it takes BUTTONS, and yes, oh my, multiple times to push those buttons to make it work. So sorry there's no app for it, my goodness...
A Programming Nightmare.
This is extremely hard to program. The instructions are terrible. I finally figured it out and managed to get one event programmed. That took about 20 minutes. I then tried to program another event and I got tired of wasting my time with this. I had a few more events I wanted to program and decided this is not going to suit my needs. I'll be returning it. I have an electronic and technical background and still found it difficult.
Open the package, set the timers and plugged the unit in and you hear the latch inguaging when it wasn't set to turn on. Reset and everything worked for a day and now it will not power . Reset unit and no change.
JUNK!
Would Not RecommendHave several in the house. ALL of the three pronged units have the same issues as described in most of the other reviews. Works one day then that's it. If I were Lowes I'd pull ALL of this manufacturers products off the shelves.
Appears to be a quality timer switch.
Would RecommendI would like to program it for limiting run times for a dehumidifier. The available events limit runs of 1 1/2 hours for 16 cycles. Programming is very precise and easy to err, much like the Intertech it replaces. With that, it can be a reliable unit.

Unreliable and a nightmare to program
Would Not RecommendI've used a lot of timers and this is the most tedious one I've ever programmed. I got it programmed though, and after a couple months running my water pump, things seemed a little dry. It looked it was still running but not often enough. I checked the settings and 12 out of the 16 events disappeared completely. I can't even access them. They're just gone, off to timer event heaven. I can only see events 1 - 4 now. So, I pushed the reset button, also realizing I would have to go through the orde...
Very Disapointesd
Would Not RecommendOpen the package, set the timers and plugged the unit into the wall outlet and you hear the latch inguaging when it wasn't set to turn on. Reset and everything worked for 3 days and now it will not latch, power on even in the by pass mode. Reset unit and no change. Its going back to manufacturer and i will be choosing a different brand.
two of two doa
Would Not Recommendone would not switch on the outlet at all the other glitched about half the time that the relay activated, locking up and displaying an 6 with an upside down y in the lcd junk
What a letdown
Would Not RecommendThis timer functioned fine for the last 2 months with a 600w load on it (643 on the Kill-A-Watt meter) running evening to morning. I doubled the load last night (~1286w) connecting to the second power inlet and all was well running at less than 80% of the rating. No smells, no excessive warmth, everything seemed perfect... Apparently the thing has ceased to function last night and never turned off this morning when it was scheduled to. The on/off button no longer works, either. Quite the le...
