Ratings & Reviews for Utilitech 1/2-ft 16 / 1 Light Duty 3 Prong White Indoor Extension Power Cord
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this short extension cord for solving tight outlet challenges with its compact, angled design that fits behind furniture and in recessed spaces. Many appreciate the multiple outlet configuration that accommodates bulky transformer plugs and Christmas lights without a power strip. Reviewers consistently describe it as well-made, durable, and affordable. A few note the angled plug can reduce effective length in extremely tight spaces or cause slight protrusion, and one reported a defective unit. Overall, most customers find it an indispensable solution for space-constrained outlets.

convenient extension cord for recessed plugs
It worked perfectly to allow me to plug it into a recessed floor receptacle.

Convenient angled cord saves outlets
Would RecommendThe angle of the cord is very convenient so that it does not block the bottom plug of a two-plug outlet.

Very handy.
Would RecommendUse this instead of a powerstrip. Less bulky. Shockingly very convenient. I reccomend this 120%.

OK but cant handle 1500watts
Would Not RecommendNot even wall circuit worthy; used for about 6 mo. (three times a week for 30 min.) and socket terminals corroded from heat and slightly melted the receptacle material on both outlets ( i used one till it smelled, then used the other; same thing). This made the plugs hard to remove. OK if using much less than rated current. I did NOT use both outlets at the same time.

Would RecommendI really like that it turns to side so it doesn’t interfere with sprayer under sink.

Would RecommendWorks great when dealing with bulky plugs

I turned this into a current meter adapter.
Would RecommendI cut the outer insulation off of this exposing the three inner conductors. It made a great and inexpensive adapter for a current reading meter.

It worked!
Would RecommendI need it to extend an outlet. Was not sure this was going to work but was well worth the $3. Turns out it worked great! It accomplished what I needed to do.
