Ratings & Reviews for Utilitech 240 -Degree White Wire-in Replacement Motion sensor and light sensor
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the sensor's straightforward installation and reliable performance as a direct replacement for failed units, with many noting improved angle adjustments and seamless operation with incandescent and dimmable LED bulbs. However, a significant portion report critical compatibility issues with standard LED bulbs, experiencing flickering or complete failure. Several also note the actual motion detection range falls short of advertised specifications, activating only within 10-15 feet rather than the claimed 70-75 feet. Despite these drawbacks, most customers consider it a worthwhile replacement for aging sensors.

repeated failures
Would Not RecommendFirst unit lasted less than one month, second unit quit working after two months.
Positioning was poor…
Would Not RecommendThe mounting arm doesn’t allow for adequate articulation for positioning the sensor!

I hope you have better luck than I did.
Would Not RecommendMy Heath Zenith sensor dry rotted a second time. Mine each last about 8 years in Texas. I cannot find another one in bronze/brown or the same bronze/brown fixture. Buy it if your not worry about distance
Would Not RecommendIn the past i set sensors to M - Now quality is gone no more sensativity for motion. 30 ft you need a grabage truck to activate motion lights.

Short Lived
Would Not RecommendIt worked great for 9 months then just died! I am not happy with this sensor as it wasn't the least expensive and didn't make it to the 1 year mark - which still would have sucked!
This product has problems.
Would Not RecommendProduct fails more often than it works. I've replaced most of them at least once soon after installation. They work briefly and then fail. Im guessing it's the switch inside because often you can see the blue PIR go on but the light attached does not come on.
