Ratings & Reviews for Utilitech 15 -Amps 120-volt Indoor Programmable Digital Lighting Timer

Complete garbage

Don't waste your time. This product is complete garbage. I purchased two, and neither of them work, even after leaving for 10 minutes for the internal battery to charge (even though instructions say it will only need 1 minute). No sign of life on the LCD display.

This is an amazing product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never seen anything like this before. It was very easy to install. It works very well for my home. I will be buying more for other parts of the house. Easy to program and seems to be accurate.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product. It was super easy to install, with very little efforts. Easy for any DIY job. The instructions are easy to read. The product itself works great and I have had no issues.

Easy install, some time to setup but working fine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband installed this for me to be able to set my outside garden lights and pond pumps. He says it was easy to install. The programming took me a little bit of learning and a phone call to my daughter but we got it functioning and set that I do not have to mess with it until I want to change settings. It has made my daily tasks much easier!

Helpful for vacations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fairly straightforward product. I would say I’m moderately handy and it took a few hours for me to set up with someone helping me the entire time. This will be great for times when we’re out of the house and can set light schedules that are sporadic, which makes it seem like we’re home. I do wonder if it would’ve been easier I could just buy a smart lightbulb and control it from my phone.

Reliable Timer With Handy Backup Battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this timer for free through an influencer program in exchange for my honest review, and I’m genuinely impressed. It allows for daily scheduling of lights or appliances and is simple to install. One feature I really appreciate is the backup battery—it keeps all your settings even during a power outage. If you're looking to upgrade your home automation, this is a reliable, no-fuss option. Perfect for automating home lighting! 💡 #Gifte...

This is a very helpful product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really liked this in-wall lighting timer from Utilitech. The instructions were easy to follow therefore easy to install. So far this lighting timer is durable. The timer is very accurate and turns our lights off and on at the exact times that we set it for. The design is sleek and looks nice when installed.

Dead out of the box

I bought two of these and both did not work immediately out of the box. I am experienced with electrical work and no amount of troubleshooting got them functional.

Didn’t work for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a bad switch. The installation was not difficult it took about 10 minutes. That includes switching wires because the instructions were difficult to read. It had power to it but it would not work tried everything. 😕

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Free product via Influenster This in wall digital timer is a solid addition to any home. Installation was straightforward, and the controls are user friendly. It keeps a consistent schedule and is great for automating lights or appliances. The display is clear and easy to read. Overall, a simple and effective solution for hands free control.

Maybe I got a dud, but it doesn't work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure if I got a dud or maybe I have installed it wrong, but even after switching line and load wires around several times, the on/off button doesn't work (it is always on) and the screen never loaded despite waiting several minutes.

DOA

Bought two of these and wired them up per the instructions and both were dead out of the box. Wired in a different brand the exact same way and it worked.

Fantastic but takes time to start working!

It works brilliantly, but it took about 10 minutes to “charge up” and turn on once wired. The instructions say to wait 1 minute, so I thought I messed up the wiring.

Sleek design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This would be great to use but I’m not an electrician. The design is nice and the digital buttons are easy to see. The directions for installation is very small and confusing. Again if I was an electrician, I think it would be great!

Utilitech lighting timer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does its intended purpose. Rarely are we home at dusk to turn the outside lights on. This switch has been a great addition to the house. We can manually override the timer by simply clicking the on/off button without messing with the programming.

Would love this, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We always forget to turn off our front lights, so this timer is perfect for us! Unfortunately, my husband, who has done a lot of electrical wiring and his friend who is an electrician, couldn't get this timer to work. The installation was easy. The switch got power, the outside lights turn on and off, but the timer itself stays blank. The screen never appears to program.
