Would Not RecommendI’ve bought two of these to run my garbage disposal under the sink. Yet again, it stops working after several months. Replaced battery still not working. Short life. Even before it died completely, I would have to press and hold the off button down for a very long time to get it to turn off. Then i had to move the switch all around as if the signal was getting weaker - holding it a foot or two away instead of 3 or 4 feet away on the wall where it should be. Would RecommendThis is such a handy device. The way our bedroom is positioned, we are many steps away from a light switch that will illuminate the main room. With this I was easily able to add a switch for turning on a table lamp, right by our bedroom door. It is very easy to set up and works very well.

Easy way to replace a hard-wired switch!
Would RecommendThis remote switch was an easy way to “move” the switched outlet to another location in the room. After cutting power to the old wall switch, I removed it and connected the wires with a wire nut so the existing switched outlet was on always. Then I drilled two holes 3 5/16” apart in the plastic backplate of this new remote switch so I could mount it to the junction box directly using the two screws that held the old switch in place. Would RecommendStep 1: PLUG in the RECEIVER to a standard wall electrical outlet. Step 2: Plug into the RECEIVER the device you want to power on /off (example) a lamp. Step 3: Turn lamp switch to the on position -- The lamp is now under the control of the your NEW SWITCH. Step 4: Install the SWITCH BATTERY -- THE SWITCH CAN NOW control the on / off status of the lamp.
