What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise these rocks for vibrant red color and effective heat retention in fire pits and grills, with many noting improved cooking performance and professional appearance. However, a significant portion report serious safety concerns, discovering non-porous stones mixed in that explode violently when heated, contradicting expectations of pure lava rock. Some users also mention inconsistent sizing and insufficient quantity per bag. Despite these drawbacks, most customers find the aesthetic and thermal benefits worthwhile for outdoor heating applications.

Exploding rocks!!
Would Not RecommendFirst of all the color of the rocks are not gray they are red just like any standard lava rocks. They also explode like fireworks sending hot shattered rocks all over the place. DO NOT BUY!! Very Dangerous
worth less than half the asking price
Would Not RecommendFour bags later feeling ripped off, $8 would be a fair price for 4 bags not one… going to buy regular lava rock this was a joke.
