What Customers Are Saying
The Trex Transcend composite decking is described as a high-quality and durable product with an attractive appearance. Customers praised the rich color, smooth finish, and ability to match existing decor. The decking is reported to be strong, scratch-resistant, and long-lasting, with no need for staining or painting. The hidden fastener system creates a clean look, and the boards are easy to work with and install, though some noted the need for pre-drilling holes. A few customers mentioned receiving some damaged or mismatched boards, but overall the product quality seems to be very good. The longer 20-foot boards may be more flexible compared to other composite decking options.

Shrinkflation Strikes Again
Would RecommendTrex is a good product, but apparently the size has changed over the years. We build our deck in 2017 with Trex Transcend Spiced Rum boards, and there was one edge that I wasn't happy with. Finally decided to replace it and guess what? The new trim boards are about 1/2 narrower than they used to be.
