What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this composite decking for its durability, low maintenance, and beautiful appearance. Most highlight the fade-resistant color options, particularly the grey with subtle blue tones, and appreciate the splinter-free, rot-resistant surface that eliminates traditional wood concerns. Many find installation straightforward with hidden fasteners, and several commend the eco-friendly composition made from recycled materials. Reviewers emphasize long-term value and easy cleaning, with confidence in the 25-year warranty. A few report minor warping at board ends or dimension inconsistencies, though most still rate the product highly overall. Overall, customers consider it a worthwhile investment.

Would RecommendNot only was the order delayed by three weeks but out of 49 boards, 2 were damaged. I was still able to use them but at the price (a little over $4000) i expect them all to be perfect. Many of the boards also had a slight warp at the ends. I could not check them on arrival as they were in a bundle, and the only reason I chose delivery was that at 16ft I could not transport them myself. Again i was able to use them but i would think again before using lowes for this product.

Warping
Lowe's contractor installed Trex decking in 2022. This year all of the side boards on the deck have warped even though I was assured this would not occur. I have tried repeatedly to contact Lowe's to see who and how to contact someone to help. It has been thirty days and still I have not been able to contact anyone. Store customer service gave me a number to call but it is out of service. This was a very huge investment for me. I was so pleased with it until 18 months later. It is shameful that ...

Enhanced Foggy Wharf. Best ever!
Would RecommendRemoved a rotted 12 yo wood 12 x 21 deck, joists and piers. Installed new materials including underpinnings to support a 300 gallon spa. Also went with black Trex railing system. Old deck used 4x posts, I went back with 6x in 16" concrete per pier. Grooved 12 ft boards and hidden fasteners. Been on for 2 months now. Yes, under hot sun the surface is pretty warm. But overall, it's exactly what we hoped to get and longevity for less maintenance was key for us.

Redoing an existing deck can be time consuming!
Would RecommendThe Foggy Wharf Trex looks good see pix, installed well and we expect it will serve us for years to come. It was difficult to estimate what length board would produce the least amount of waste. Lowes recommended ordering more than a minimum amount because they would allow us to return any unused material ( Trex).
