The product itself is fine, the issue is that they have this online for purchasing and we purchased our entire trex decking from Lowe’s along with the 8 foot railings and after already recieving all of our products they then told us that trex is not actually selling the 8ft sections. So since LAST YEAR we have had our deck done all but 3 sections of railing. We have called Lowe’s a million times, we have reached out to Trex a million times, and even emailed the higher up at Trex and we STILL hav...

anyone looking to buy this product should use nearby stores. The Trex Select Collection is better than this Enhance version. AD Moyer, down the road, sell 8-foot kits for $150 and 6-foot for $110. Wehrungs sells 8-foot kits for $140. Again, the local stores sell the better quality for less. This is Enhance Railing, which is made for box stores. 👎

Photo is Misleading

The photo on the Lowes website shows a railing with square balusters however when the item was delivered it had round balusters. Lowes refused to provide a refund for the delivery even though the photo on THEIR website shows an item which they no longer carry. The photo is very misleading. As a long time loyal customer I am very disappointed.

Beware! Spindle Holes Do NOT Align!

This is a pretty good product. But… Why don’t the spindle holes align? The spacing between the holes on the top rail and bottom rail are slightly different, making it noticeable with a longer span. To me, it seems simple, but obviously it must take a tremendous amount of work to fix this at the factory. Where is the Quality Assurance? Check the boxes when buying and the contents upon

Lowe’s is careless and product is cheaply made.

Purchased a railing sections for a porch we are building. When loading up in my truck in the parking lot I noticed that a corner of one of the boxes was in rough shape. It looks like a forklift or somebody at Lowe’s miss handled the box and the total end of the railing was cracked. I went back in to exchange the box and brought it all home. I open the box and the railing hardware is missing. I assume Trex did not prepare this box correctly or somebody robbed it out of the box at Lowe’s. Extremel...

Easy to.install.

This railing assembles and installs easily. It is very attractive and a strong safety feature with young children. However, I initially had difficulty in spacing the balusters when cutting the rails for a shorter span. The problem was caused by the hole spacing being different on top.rail versus the bottom rail. I aligned the center holes and at the ends there was a 3/16 inch difference between the top and bottom. Once I recognized the problem.I was able to adjust to mitigate the quality flaw.

bought total 12 6 feet rail Kit from online, but two of them are totally diff type of rail from other, so I have to return them, and get another two from store. however those two I just get from store are both missing connector

make sure you get the handrail, not the step rail

love the quality, but Lowe's is lacking in the internal posts, I had to use another brand metal surface mounted post. Couldn't get any within 100 miles

Use a cutoff tool on the aluminum stiffener.

Easy to install. Especially appreciated the aluminum stiffener.

Set drill on minimum drag

I liked the look especially after installation. The dark pickets made it easy to see scenery in the background unlike white pickets.

check your railing finis before leaving the store

These railings are inexpensive and look great but I had to return half of the 8 foot rails because the way they are packaged, there is no barrier between the balusters and the top side of the top rail. Their powder coated paint rub on the rail marring the finished product to be unacceptable. For their replacement I had to open boxes in the store and go through their stock to find clean railings. All they really had to do is flip the rail in packaging so that the underside got marred instead or p...

Ordered online and picked up

Two of the 15 look to have been opened once before and broke in the middle was able to use one but the other one was to far gone.
