Ratings & Reviews for Trex Transcend Fascia Deck Board Spiced Rum 1-in x 8-in x 12-ft Composite

Heavy Duty!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the color and texture of the product. It looks and feels like wood. I scratched it with the scissors and it does scratch but the color is the same all the way through, so no big deal. It sheds water very well. Would love to replace the treated wood on my front porch with this. But one thing I would need to consider is the very heavy weight of the product and whether the existing joists under my porch would support it adequately.

Great Deck Board!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a sample of Trex - Transcend Spiced Rum Deck Board in the mail and i'm really happy i did...It's a really nice and strong Deck Board...we jumped on it...rubbed it into the ground to check wear and tear...rubbed mud on it and washed it off...it took a beating and held up beautifully...i do have to redo my deck and this is perfect...the color might not be my choice but the Board itself is perfect!!!

Durable deck board

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This deck board is durable. They are also weather proof. They feel pretty good on your feet when you step on it not very hard like I thought it would be. The color doesn’t look cheap and either does the product. They come in several colors so the hard part is choosing which one to pick. They have matching railing you can get to match the deck also

Love the Look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my previous home, I had a huge wooden deck. My husband spent a great deal of time and money repairing, staining, and cleaning it. Trex deck boards are beautiful, realistic, and are made from 95% recycled materials. No staining or repairing required. I love the realistic graining which makes for a slip-resistant surface. The warranty is outstanding. The Spiced Rum color has a lovely variation in color which is very realistic.

Love the lighter color Trex- Deck Board !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this recently, and of all the Trex products I’ve seen so far, this one is by far my favorite color. The lighter color really looks more like natural wood. It’s sturdy and I don’t think it will scratch when you pull porch furniture across it . I’m thinking with the lighter color it may not get too hot after it’s in full sun for a long period of time. This is a color that will match any color home you own. It’s great!

Stunning!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this piece of Spiced Rum Deck Board to see if it would be suitable gor my upcoming deck project. It is very sturdy and an amazing color. I love the fact that it will never need painting and will last a lifetime.

Beautiful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sample to test. This product is awesome. I can only imagine how beautiful it would look on an entire deck. The product is very sturdy and would probably last for years. It is looks just like wood grain. It is heavyweight. The tongue and groove assembly will make it very easy to install. The spiced rum color is a realistic dark wood stain color. Definitely a great option for a maintenance-free deck!!

Absolutely great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product within the last couple of days and I really like the way it looks. I would strongly consider it for resurfacing my entire deck at some point in the future.

excellent product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] easy to work with and care for. Has a very professional finish.

Fantastic Durable Board!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received the sample board of Transcend Spiced Rum Deck Board I was immediately struck with the solid and heavy feel of it. This is no ordinary board! A medium shade of brown, it's finished with realistic wood grain all along the course. The grooves along the side of the board suggest a tightly locked way of creating a very solid and beautiful deck. This is an exciting option for a well-constructed deck!

Beautiful Quality Decking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a nice sized sample of Spiced Rum by Trex deck board. I love the color and most importantly the quality of the decking board. It is comfortable to walk on and is a rich color that looks like it will hold up very well on our outdoor deck. We currently have a good deck of a good size and I am definitely considering replacing our wood boards with this deck board. The boards have grooves and look as if they will slide together quite eas...

Trex Tiki Torch

The fascia is the finishing touch to the deck we just put in. Too soon to tell on wear but there is no doubt as too how attract tive it is.

Beware, it warps!

In July of 2015, I hired Lowes in Middletown NY to install a Trex deck. I decided to go with Trex because of the low maintenance associated with the product. I looks wonderful from 50ft away. Once you get to within a couple of feet you notice the facia boards warping! Anyone can write a good review after 30/60 even 90 days of a product. However, living with it for 2 years is a different story. Im not sure what needs to be done to fix the problem. I’m sure Lowes would not be pleased with hearing ...

Nice option for long term

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This board seems to be very sturdy and weather resistant. I left the sample outside during a few crazy rainstorms to see if it would hold up or weather. I even had my dog chew on it for a bit to see how strong it was. It seems to hold up amazing. The one issue i do have is that the wood looks extremely fake. It doesn't have any authentic look to it. The dark coloring is nice and could pass off as a dark painted real wood if you did not look clo...

Heavy duty with great color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This deck board is heavier than I expected, which reassured me that it was a solid product. I loved the rich color of the Spiced Rum. The color was true to the picture. It did feel a little slippery under the foot of a sock... but I don't imagine walking too often in socks on the deck. Another thing that made me nervous was the deep wood grain grooves. While it makes the decking look rich, it proved to be hard to clean. I did a mustard test, by...

Trex Rum Deck Board Sample

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Deciding on the wood for a new deck can be time-consuming. I was initially attracted to this deck board due to its darker tone to match my home. I found it to match the outside of my front yard and the quality seems to be good so far. It'd be good to see how it performs.

Great looking trex

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample if the trex-transcend in the spiced rum... all i can say i wow. There is so much texture (looks like real wood thats just been stained). The color is beautiful , i love that its got parts that are darker. Definitely would be the envy of our neighborhood if we had a whole deck of this.
