Ratings & Reviews for TREX Transcend 1-in x 6-in x 20-ft Island Mist Composite Deck Board

Great color and solid plank

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sample recently and am leaning towards redoing my dining room in this color and material. The sample would give the dining room a rustic sort of feel to it and become more "homey". The material seems solid and strong which is what we will need since we are on an old foundation. The color and natural look is what sold me on redoing my dining room.

Exactly what we want

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are planning to build a beach house and are looking at products to make maintenance as easy as possible. This product is beautiful! We will definitely be exploring this as an option. We loved the color and texture.

Good quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of Transcend Island Mist Square edged board. It is a good weight, a great medium gray color, random grooves and would look awesome as a faux wood decor. I love it and would highly recommend to others!

Very durable and color is great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This decking was super heavy duty. I was surprised at how heavy just the small section I received was. It was very durable which seems like it would for sure hold up nicely in any weather. I also loved the color. It was almost a bluish gray which would look great with the color scheme I am going for with my house. Will definitely have nice curb appeal.

Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the island mist deck peice and the color is very pretty, I am definitely thinking about doing a deck now.

Very sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is really sturdy and comfortable to stand on with the texture.

Great color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the quality of this sample and the thickness for a deck. The added benefit was the color!

Transcend Island Mist

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Trex - Transcend 1 ft Sample - Island Mist, and not only is it a breeze to assemble, put together, but the sizing is on point, the color is beautiful, and the texture is eye appealing. I hope to find larger pieces of this for when we move!!

Wonderful sample!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This decking sample is sturdy and well-made. It’s a great color, texture, and would make a great deck.

Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a very sturdy material and love the color. The texture is really good. Will definitely recommend.

Great color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is a very nice color and it's thick. We were looking for a type for our backyard to create a patio and this one has a nice tint to it and it feels really sturdy.

Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the gray color, it gives me a coastal home feeling. It seems heavy and seems durable, but when you look at the back side and edges, it appears to only be pressed wood. There is a very thin top layer for the look and I wish it was somewhat deeper. Hopefully this board is treated in some way, so that it lasts a long time. I don’t know how long it will last once the weather gets to it. It doesn’t look like much protection against water. Ove...

Beautiful colors and durable materials

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received just one 1-ft piece, so I wasn't able to try it as an actual deck. The color is beautiful and the material looks very sturdy and durable. It's light enough to install yourself and looks super easy to install.

Bulletproof

These are amazingly dense and correspondingly heavy. However, I suspect that these will be around longer than the treated lumber that they are installed on. They have a very nice embossed wood grain texture and look that also serves as a slip-resistant finish. I chose the solid planks because I was building stairs and needed the solid edge instead of the hidden fasteners on the stair treads. I highly recommend the C-Deck Composite Deck Screws from Screw Products, Inc. with the color matched ...

Versatile composite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The transcend line seems to be one of the better composites offered. The multi-colored tones and wood grain texture better mimic natural wood but it is more durable and has a much lower maintenance cost. You should pick this product if you plan on staying in the location you are installing it. The value of this product continues to grow the longer you are able to use it. You are more likely to get tired of the style before this decking need...

Excellent quality product at a great price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely durable and absolutely beautiful. I Use Trex for several different projects and I could not ask for anything more. This stuff is just great. I will recommend this product to my friends and family. Thank you, Trex for such a great product.

Not really my style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sample to see if I would like to use it in my home. While the sample itself was of good quality, it was not what I would use in my home we are building. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because of the quality. Maybe others have and might even have used this, I cannot see us doing so.

Very nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was nice to see in person and decide why other colors can build around it. Highly recommend

Awesome product
