Ratings & Reviews for Trex Transcend 1-in x 6-in x 12-ft Medium Square Composite Deck Board
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this composite decking for its exceptional durability, realistic wood-like appearance, and low-maintenance nature. The Island Mist color—a medium gray with rich grain textures—is particularly celebrated for its authentic look and versatility across home styles. Reviewers emphasize the material's sturdiness, weather resistance, and ability to hide scratches through consistent coloring. The grooved design enables hidden fasteners for a seamless finish, and many find installation straightforward even for DIYers. The 25-year warranty reinforces confidence in long-term reliability. A few note minor concerns about surface thickness or rare color inconsistencies, but most consider the product exceptional value.

Beautifully crafted!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking into flooring for months and none have compared to the craftsmanship of Transcend! The grain is absolutely beautiful and it is not flimsy or rough feeling like so many I have tried! Definitely recommend!!

Some warping along the length. Otherwise good.
1 of 4 boards was not straight, so I had to cut it and use it in short sections. The boards are quite heavy but cut easily. Generally I like the product except for the warping.

Great Sample!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sample along with others and it really helped me in choosing the style and colors I wanted for my new deck. I was considering wood but upon seeing how this was made and the durability I was impressed! The sample is large enough to see what it would look like compared to others and makes it easy to make a good choice.

Another great choice
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to help make a choice in what to build a new deck with. It made the decision so much easier. This sample showed me the quality of the material. It showed me it will last my life time and it showed the color brilliantly. After getting this I put it side side to another sample to pick color. It made it so easy.

Great color and solid plank
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sample recently and am leaning towards redoing my dining room in this color and material. The sample would give the dining room a rustic sort of feel to it and become more "homey". The material seems solid and strong which is what we will need since we are on an old foundation. The color and natural look is what sold me on redoing my dining room.

Good quality!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of Transcend Island Mist Square edged board. It is a good weight, a great medium gray color, random grooves and would look awesome as a faux wood decor. I love it and would highly recommend to others!
