What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the composite decking for exceptional durability, low maintenance, and authentic wood-like appearance. Most highlight resistance to rot, warping, fading, cracking, and splintering, with many noting the boards require only soap and water cleaning—eliminating annual staining and sealing. The Pebble Grey color receives consistent acclaim for its rich, striking finish. Reviewers appreciate the heavy, sturdy construction and slip-resistant texture. A small number mention a slight plastic feel or rare edge concerns, but most consider the product an excellent long-term investment for outdoor spaces.

It is a wait and see material.
I bought the first generation trex. It was Much heavier and thicker than this new style. This seems flimsy .My original trex has been down for 30 years and is still in usable shape. I will have to wait and see how this holds up. I did purchase some a while back that is breaking down and chipping away.

Trex Deck Boards
Would RecommendTrex is hard as nails. It takes a lot of abuse, and keeps its color. What I found that is a major weak point is that over time it curls up at its sides. My installation has hidden retainers every twelve inches. Far more than the recommended sixteen inch spacing. This curling allows rain water to pool on each board and in my location promotes algae growth. It still beats painted boards hands down. I just wish it didn't have that curling propensity.
