I have no complaints about the Trex, but Lowes damaged/scuffed the boards during shipment to my local Lowes where I picked it up. They shipped it Back to Front and Trex should be stacked/shipped front to front and back to back. The backs are scratchy and if you slide a back against a front the front gets permanently scratched!! Plus it took them 40 minutes to find my order!! How do you loose a 16 foot long order???
Surface blemishes on newly received materials
Would Recommendseveral of the boards received had noticeable blemishes / marks / scratches on them that cause me to have to try to "work around" placing those blemishes where they are not noticeable. Not sure how to "correct" those blemishes because they are imbedded in the surface coating of the boards. Blemishes are NOT obvious when materials are delivered to the job site. Only upon moving materials from the dropoff point to the onsite construction location were the blemishes then noticed

Would RecommendI used Trex several times in the past and I've found that the quality of the product is consistently good. The colors are true to the samples and the material is easy to work with. The installation hardware is well designed and help complete the project. Great stuff.

installer bad job
Would Not RecommendLowe’s “professional” installers did not like working with Trex boards. The boards warped and buckled soon after installation. Lowes did nothing about it. I contacted Trex and sent pictures; they said that the installation was ok. There is one row in the middle all the way across the deck that every other board sticks up If you are not watching you check your foot and fall.
