Ratings & Reviews for Trex Transcend 1-in x 6-in x 20-ft Spiced Rum Square Composite Deck Board

Check your boards, do not believe date estimate

There were numerous notches in the delivered product. Additionally, lowes kept pushing the delivery date back with zero explanation. This had set back the project delivery date significantly.

Shrinkflation Strikes Again

Trex is a good product, but apparently the size has changed over the years. We build our deck in 2017 with Trex Transcend Spiced Rum boards, and there was one edge that I wasn't happy with. Finally decided to replace it and guess what? The new trim boards are about 1/2 narrower than they used to be.

Beautiful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Want to redo our deck in the back of house. Got a couple of choices to see which I like best. I will say it's made very sturdy and looks like it will hold up to any weather.

Beautifully crafted!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking into flooring for months and none have compared to the craftsmanship of Transcend! The grain is absolutely beautiful and it is not flimsy or rough feeling like so many I have tried! Definitely recommend!!

Very Nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Spiced Rum color would be beautiful for a porch or deck, the weight is very nice and very easy to clean up...all I used was a damp cloth. I love the fact that this is recycled materials and splinter free. Just knowing my kids could play on the deck and not worry about getting splinters is such a big deal to me.

It’s a sample..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this sample, as I am an interior consultant, I wanted something to show clients when recommending this product. As this is just a sample, it serves its purpose. This did not come with any literature about the product, or its cost.

pretty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the way this decking looks. I think it would be awesome to have a whole deck made out of it. The color is great and the feel of it is nice. I am sure that a deck made of this would last for many years and still look great.

Its a sample

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sample is high quality This is a dense composite. I have used other variants and this style has weight reduction grooves that don't compromise strength

Looks Like An Improved Generation of Trex

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am comparing this to some Trex product on my deck that is just over 10 years old. This is a good improvement over earlier generations of Trex. The color coating is substantial, and if scratched, holds its color well. The texture looks more like wood grain than some older Trex I have, so this will be less slick when wet or covered with a bit of snow. This very solid, and I am hopeful that it will have outstanding durability and mildew resistan...

Nice Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This appears to be a very nice option for flooring. It’s really thick and seems like it would be friendly to any breakable item that you might drop on it. It also seems like it would easy on your feet. It does have texture to it so not sure how easy it would be to clean.

sturdy and perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this one in conjunction with another color to try out which one would be a match to my flooring and the other color was perfect. This one not so much but it is a very durable material. I have nothing negative to say about it. Color of this one was even more nice than the one I use. Wish I could change it, but too much work. lol

Excellent quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the transcend 1 ft sample spiced rum and the quality was excellent. It has a nice color to it and has the look and feel of real wood. The sample is 1 ft by 3/4 inch and has a deep cut texture.

Great quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a very sturdy material and love the color. The texture is really good. Will definitely recommend.

Amazing product compared to other brands

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow. When I received this decking I was completely amazed! It was so heavy and sturdy and gorgeous, this piece is amazing! I have looked at other decking materials and this by far outshines every other material on the market which I have seen!! If you want a sturdy composite board for decking or any other project, look no further!

Perfect sample size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this sample size of the the TREX wood decking to see if we liked the color. It is a nice size, much bigger than you would expect. Great to see the color and the textures.

Great material

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ learned more about decking and was really interested in this material sample to build my own deck in the near future. Just by this one sample I received , I can tell it’s of good quality, but I would still have slip concerns with this material rather than traditional wood decking. I would have to see a whole deck built with this material to really put it to the test.

Sturdy and well made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently replaced our deck and were looking to use Trex for the top rail just to avoid splinters from wood and give us a place to set things that's more smooth and level. The hardest part is finding the right color. This color will not quite work for us but it was so nice to have a sample size to test rather than spending the money on a whole board. Overall very pleased with this.
