Ratings & Reviews for TREX Transcend 1-in x 6-in x 20-ft Spiced Rum Composite Deck Board

What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the exceptional durability, rich wood-like appearance, and low-maintenance nature of this composite decking. The boards are consistently described as thick, heavy, and built to last, with many reporting decks that look like new after years of exposure to weather. Reviewers love the authentic wood grain texture, realistic colors, and splinter-free surface, particularly for households with children. The eco-friendly recycled materials and hidden fastener system are significant selling points. A few note minor color inconsistencies between batches or slight slipperiness when wet, and some mention installation challenges, but these are far outweighed by overall satisfaction.

Would RecommendGenuine Trex decking is built with quality in mind. It may be more expensive than other brands but longevity of the product is better. Thicker substructure and more durable, outer protective layer, than less expensive brands.

I would buy again
Would RecommendBoards are nice looking and not slippery like some of the synthetic decking. I got the tiki torch for my dock. It can be really hot in the summer if there is no wind, we just got an indoor outdoor carpet runner its fine. Make sure you use tape on top of the joists before you put the deck down, this stuff is plastic and it holds in moisture against the wood, we've seen rot in treated boards in 5 years without tape.
