Ratings & Reviews for Trex Select 2-in x 6-in x 16-ft Saddle Square Composite Deck Board

Great product!

Exactly what I was looking for. Easy to cut and install.

HARD TO FIND SIZE BUT LOWES FOUND IT..

VERY HEAVY BOARDS. THEY CAME WRAPPED IN PROTECTIVE COVER. I TOTALLY UNDERESTIMATED THE WEIGHT. THE DRIVER HELPED POSITION THE 16FT TREX BOARDS IN THE DRIVEWAY. VERY PROFESSIONAL, MAKING THE TRANSACTION END ON A VERY POSITIVE NOTE!

get and keep receipt

Be careful I order Trex decking. Received everything but 8 2x6 boards. Waited 45 days received phone call if i would like to credit my account and said no i need the boards Checked account every day and said In Progress. Checked this morning and said it was delivered. Called and was told nothing can be done

Delivery was a problem...

Delivery was messed up, we got the wrong items (not what was ordered). We were told the delivery truck would come back that day, it did not. We got no call back and had to call the store (Cookeville, TN) to get answers and pick up delivery details. Our order got here quickly after talking to a manager.

Walking path edging

I bought one piece of the two inch thick and 12 ft long composite board to test out on a section and it worked out well. I will be replacing the wooden pieces with this composite board for my tier landscape project I am working on.

Actual size is 1.75 x 5.5

Boards arrived in good condition

Perfection

The Trex is the perfect solution for re-surfacing our pier and these solid boards are perfect handrails. The pick up process was so easy. Destiny and Jordan were both very professional and personable. Couldn’t be happier!

20 footers still bowed on ends!

I thought maybe the third time buying the 2x6 x 20' boards would be a charm and not be bowed up on the ends like the prior 2 times, but apparently it's a manufacturing process issue that affects them all. Lowe's had even stacked them alternating sides up so as to either hide or try to flatten the bowed ends, but as soon as they're unstacked it's readily apparent. And I know Trex's claim of 100% customer satisfaction is totally not true from my past calls to their company.

Awesome alternative for pressure treated wood

Used this product to rebuild my hurricane damaged dock.

Very good alternative for pressure treated wood

Used this to replace damaged pressure treated wood on my dock. Awesome product and won’t rot or decay.

I love the ones that are to spec....

I recently bought a bunch of 12', 16', and 20' Trex Select 2x6 boards for a new deck I'm building. I have 2 complaints and 1 irritation. First, the 20' boards flair up on the ends for about the last foot, just like ones I bought a few years ago, and even after letting them sit flat in the hot sun are impossible to screw down flush. Second, the widths of the various lengths vary from 5-3/8 to 5-1/2", making the butt joints look bad. Lastly, my irritation is regarding linear scratches in the tops ...

Use this instead of pressure treated lumber.

Product is FANTASTIC - Easy to cut, easy to install, looks great, and should last way longer than the wood stair treads it replaces. Best of all, it never needs painting. It is heavy but still manageable.
