Ratings & Reviews for Trex 4-in x 4-in Classic White Composite Deck post base trim
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these post trim sleeves for their clean, professional finish and seamless visual appeal. Reviewers highlight the easy snap-together installation that requires no disassembly, with many noting it slips into place effortlessly. The trim effectively hides gaps and gives decks a polished, high-end look. However, some customers report fit issues, noting the sleeves are designed for 4.5" x 4.5" posts rather than standard 4" x 4" dimensions, causing frustration. A few mention the two-piece design differs from product images suggesting one-piece construction. Despite these concerns, most customers find the product worthwhile for its aesthetic impact.

Too big for our posts
Would Not RecommendThey must only work with Trex post sleeves because they were too big for the vinyl 4x4 post sleeves we have so we weren’t able to use them.

Functional
Would RecommendFunctional product. Used for base of Trex Enhance railing post (sleeves). Nice product, clips together on sides… seems like cheaper quality, but fine for what it is IMO.

Decent price but won’t last
Would RecommendThin plastic that doesn’t feel very durable. Doubt it last more than a couple years of the elements and natural wear and tear.
