Would RecommendI BOUGHT 5 OR THE 108" LONG POST SLEEVES WHEN REPLACING MY RAILING ON OUR FRONT PORCH. I DIDN'T WANT TO PAINT ANYMORE SO I BOUGHT THE SLEEVES TO COVER MY EXISTING POSTS. I HAD TO SHIM THEM SO THEY FIT BETTER BECAUSE MY POSTS WERE TURNED AND THE SQUARE PORTION WAS ONLY 3 1/4". I HAD THIN PLYWOOD AND GLUED AND NAILED THE SHIMS WHERE THE RAILING WOULD ATTACH AND AT TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE POSTS. IT WORKED GREAT. TREX WAS THE ONLY ONES THAT HAD GREY RAILING SO THAT'S WHAT WE WENT WITH. I'M VERY HAPPY ...

TREX RAILING WITH TRANSCEND VINTAGE LANTERN
Would RecommendI reviewed my requirements with TREX Railing for my new deck that I have been building. Customer Service was absolutely outstanding. Tifanny professionally talked with me and once she was sure that she had a good understanding of what my requirements were and after she shared her professional suggestions with my wife and I she then put together a very thorough and professional cost estimate. Based on her cost estimate I made a few other calls to other's such as Home depot and and BMC for cost...

Waste of Time
Would Not RecommendLet me save you some frustration. This sleeve is only for the shorter railings (30.25" balusters). If that is what you want then still be prepared to go to both Lowe's and HomeDepot to find what you want and be prepared to either not find it or have to return items several times. It does not matter how great Trex material might be if you can't get it. This even includes special orders for things not listed on the website. The sales staff is completely incompetent and has no desire to make the cu...

Online measurements not correct
My issue is with the measurements provided on Lowe's website. I needed sleeves to fit 6x6 deck posts. They were not available in store. Therefore, I had to special order them. It clearly states "Fits Common Post Measurement: 6-in x 6-in" in the description online. This is not correct. After getting the boxes home I noticed it states right on the front of the box "fits 4x4" posts. I now have to either attempt to return the product or change out my current posts.
Chris, We are sorry for the confusion. The Trex 6 x 6 post sleeve is molded to fit a 4 x 4 post. We do not have a 6 x 6 post sleeve to fit a pressure... Read More
Big price cheap look
Would Not RecommendThe product is only compatible with low end post caps. Cap posts are the highest and closest point to eye level when standing on a deck. Lowe's expert project coordinator promised a wide area of possible cap posts. We picked out a model. We ordered them through Lowe's. We were charged for them. They were delivered to our house. After our deck was completely almost completely built we were advised that only a few low end caps would fit on these posts. They all make the deck look cheap.
So sorry you are disappointed. There are actually several options available for post caps to coordinate with the post. You can choose: Tree House Fla... Read More
Stunning look
Would RecommendI LOVE this product. It made all the difference in the look of my deck. The old posts were splitting and looked old. This product gave it a fresh clean appearance and is maintenance free. It was easy to install as well. Roger at the Construction Desk talked to me about the different products for today's decks and helped me to make my decisions. I highly recommend this product and found that Lowes DOES know!

nice added touch
Would RecommendI had my existing deck redone and expanded with Trex. To save some money from the builder, I finished off the support posts of the deck myself. I used the sleeve, split it down the back, and wrapped the posts. Finished off the job perfectly. Looking forward to many years of no painting/staining.
