Line and feed problem

Had three generations of the trimmer all great,the new one has a problem with the line and feed the spring inside the spool is too long and stiff,it cuts off the line prematurely within a minute of running time.I reread the manual,didn’t help,then I read the toro 51467 reviews and found I’m not the only one having the problem ? I’m returning ASAP.thank you

Handy to use

I am a 73 year old woman and do all my own yard and garden work. It's something I enjoy. My new cordless trimmer is to replace my previous one that I wore out. I like it, because there are no cords to drag around. The battery I charge each time I finish using it and the life of the battery must be close to forever. I wore the string attachment out but decided to purchase a new trimmer because I still was on the original battery.

One larger and a second minor complaint

My new trimmer is not as good as my previous TORO cordless trimmer. The new (51467) is lighter (good), neutral in other respects except: HUGE problem; the cord breaks off at the spool every 30 to 90 seconds, literally. My yard trim routine took MUCH longer than normal because I spent the majority of time taking the spool off, getting a new length of cord out and putting it back together. 'tis awful. 8 " Cordless Trimmer

I wished I could have purchased the same one I had for years which was a 7" Toro Cordless Trimmer. This new model is not of the same quality. When you need to feed it, the line is already inside the unit and has to be taken apart and fed out. I never had this problem with my other one. I have not had charging issues yet or the guard falling off like others. I have already purchased 0.065 Shaped trimmer line to replace this line that came with it. It does not cut well at all.

Great light trimmer

I needed a light trimmer and this one is also battery powered. My last trimmer was corded and dragging an extension cord was tiring and cumbersome. On the first trim the battery did not last for the entire yard but after recharging, it finished up well. I was so impressed that I bought a second trimmer exactly like the first one. I keep them both fully charged and plugged in at all times. I have trimmed the yard several times and have not had to use the second trimmer as the first trimmer batter...

Having been pleased with Toro equipment in the past, I did not hesitate to purchase the trimmer. So far, so good, despite me being elderly!

I was looking for a cordless trimmer my dad had this model and I’ve used it and thought it was a good unit well I bought my own and tried it out after charging it for a few days after using it for less than 5 minutes it stopped working it turns out the two sections that join when assembling it came loose, figured that out got it working again then the string would not advance when tapping on the ground after multiple attempts to get it come out I had to do it manually. Easy to use

Works well, but i get a cramp holding two buttons down to maintain power. Like the ease of releasing more string without wasting extra string

I bought this trimmer the end of May. First time I used it I could do all the trimming I planned on with one charge. Since then I can't even get half the trimming done before it slows down so much I have to go put it on the charger very disappointed.
