Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the humane, non-lethal design as the trap's greatest strength, with many reporting immediate success catching and releasing mice alive. The reusable construction appeals to cost-conscious users, and peanut butter bait proves highly effective. Reviewers consistently note the intuitive setup and clear release mechanism make it easy to use. However, a notable minority report mice escaping by chewing through the end cap or dislodging the mechanism, while some find it fails to trigger with lighter mice or when bait is consumed without activation. Despite these concerns, most customers consider it a reliable, humane solution.

Would RecommendBought three of these traps as I didn’t want to kill them and have them find some place to hide and stink. The traps work great. The mice I’ve caught I”ve taken back outside and released. I don’t understand the complaints about the product. It’s very easy to use and doesn’t need any augmentation such as drilling holes or anything. The only thing I notice was where the bait was set the plastic around it was chewed a little bit. Good product. Does what it was intended to do.

Just need a little patience and a big heart….
Would RecommendI’ve been using this a week after failing to catch more than a single mouse using my electronic mouse and rat zapper. Where I thought I had a single mouse I’ve now caught 5 and released them down the road. Also caught 2 in the garage but thinking I need to get a second trap for there. You need to be patient with using this. Place it wherever you see mouse activity. In my case this was on the counter next to the stove. Clean up the area each day while you’re still catching them so you can monit...

At least the mouse is gone
Would RecommendI bought this trap a few days ago. I baited it with peanut butter as suggested. At 3 AM, I woke up to one of our cats batting the trap around the floor. I have to say it is disturbing to have to open the trap to see if it indeed is holding a mouse. After confirming something was there, I placed the trap in a plastic bag, tied it shut, and threw it away. There really should be another way to know for sure if something is trapped other than lifting the lid, maybe a clear panel on one of the...

Might want to call this a Mouse Feeder
Would Not RecommendWe saw evidence of a mouse getting into our candy stash and placed motion detection cameras to verify where the mouse was coming from in the pantry. Since he likes chocolate, we used both peanut butter and chocolate over 3 nights. Waking up seeing we had alerts on our cameras, I was encouraged, at least the first night. Since then, all the mouse has done is enter the trap, steal the yummy bait and go back home to relax and have dessert! All caught on video. (I've posted some still shots) May...

Durability
Would Not RecommendI bought my Tomcat trap 6 months ago. It works great to catch the mice. Some found a way out. Today I checked it and found that a mouse had chewed a hole and got out. It is useless now.

The mice were in the trap and it didn't shut.
Would Not RecommendI bought two traps and set them in different rooms. After a few days with no success, I went to replace the bait. Both traps had bite marks on the inside of the cap where the bait goes. The mice went in, had a nice snack, and left. Not a good product.

Caught the mouse 1st night
Would RecommendIt worked amazingly fast however when I took the trap to the a field and opened the door...no mouse.. turned upside down and it slowly slid out. Seemed covered in oil and most definitely dead. I only used a very small amount of peanut butter on the nub. Maybe you should redesign with air holes? Maybe it suffocated?

Caught a mouse the first night.
Would RecommendWas looking for a inexpensive no-kill trap for the mice that like to cavort on my balcony. My home-made trap wasn't working so I tried this one. I used some peanut butter as bait and placed the trap perpendicular to the edge of the balcony with the opening of the trap towards the edge. Note that I used a small strip of cardboard under the trap because the surface of my balcony is rough and I feared that the trapdoor wouldn't shut. Caught a mouse the first night, cleaned the trap and have set it ...

Catches mice, but doesn't hold them
Would Not RecommendIneffective. The no-kill concept works, but the plastic is too soft. The mouse chewed through the plastic cap on the bait end of the trap and easily escaped. See attached picture.

Worked on Day One
Would RecommendAfter being startled in the middle of a night by a mouse in the bathroom, I bought this along with the bait gel. Easy to set up and effective. Caught two mice right away. Released them in the woods away from the house. I highly recommend this cruetly-free product.

Thank you this worked PERFECTLY
Would RecommendThis was very easy to use (the youtube video helps!) and the mouse is now set up in a woodland home! if there are more, i will do the same. I cannot imagine choosing to use a kill trap now that Ive used this !!!

Works well
Would RecommendI’ve bought a few of these and have had success with them for the most part. Recently I’ve run into issues where a mouse has chewed the end of the trap to get out when I’ve left the trap out at night. I now have 2 traps that I can’t use. Would appreciate feedback.

Did not work
Would Not RecommendI put peanut butte at the bait end set the trap, in a couple days the (after checking everyday) the trap door was shut, I was thrilled that it worked and transported the trap a distance away from my house to release the mouse but the trap was empty, the trap door shut before the mouse wen in. Need a better mouse trap design. It would also be nice if the trap were a little bigger so allow the mouse to go in without triggering the trap door. And it would be nice if the plastic was clear so that ...

Back door
The little back door that you put the peanut butter on the mouse kicked it out and made off with it. I assume to eat the peanut butter elsewhere. So now my trap has no back door. I have used it once before and it did work so this must’ve been a bigger mouse.

Didn't close
Would Not RecommendThe trap is a good idea but either the mouse has to be big enough to but weight on the bait end for the latch to fall. Mouse ate the peanut butter but the latch only came down part way.

success!
Would RecommendTrap worked on the first night we had it out. Easy to use and worked as advertised. I used gloves to set it up and used peanut butter as bait. Little guy will probably chew his way out eventually if given enough time but didn’t for us.

Excellent product !
Would RecommendWe had a mice nest in our home. The exterminator put a number of traps and those did not work. We found the mice were eating the peanut butter. I set up a camera and found the mice were so small they would not trigger the traps. So we got two of these and they worked great. We move the mice far from home and the problem was resolved. The design is clever. Thank you for such a great product.

Escaped mice!
Would Not RecommendThis is a great trap for catching mice! Only problem is you have to take into account the tenacity of a trapped rodent. Even though the door closed perfectly, the mouse was able to force it open just enough to escape even though the weight of the mouse was supposed to keep the door closed. If I don't catch it on time and jam the door closed with a rock, the mouse will be gone by morning. If there were a spring loaded door to keep it shut tighter, my ratio of caught to escaped mice would increase...

Catches mice, just might not hold them
Would Not RecommendI bought this and initially had decent success, caught about 4 mice in a couple weeks. Then I woke up one morning to find the trap triggered and little black shreds all around it, the mouse had chewed out of the trap. May need to upgrade the plastic used.

Edible traps?
Would Not RecommendGood news - set it one evening and caught a mouse that night... Bad news - he ate his way out. These are all small mice and they just ate a hole in the trap. Obviously worthless.
