What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this cedar mulch for its natural pest-repelling properties, with many citing aromatic cedar oils that effectively deter bugs, ticks, and insects without chemicals. The finely shredded texture is easy to spread, retains moisture, and stays in place after rain. Reviewers appreciate the rich natural color and authentic appearance compared to dyed alternatives. Most find it an excellent value for the price and express loyalty, planning to repurchase. While a few note faint cedar scent or occasional debris, the vast majority consider it a reliable, effective garden solution.

Would RecommendI like this mulch smells good (scent not as strong as last yr but still there) and the color looks natural. As long as they keep the quality up I’ll keep buying it

Paint Lumber and Rusty Nails
Would Not RecommendWe had paint, lumber scrap, and rusty nails in this mulch. I had to pull it all out and return what I had left. Do not buy!!

Mixed with construction scrap
Would Not RecommendThere is some cedar mulch in this product, but I also found pieces of wood with construction stamping colors on them. There is a good portion of ground up construction materials in this mulch. Not what I really want going into my vegetable gardens.

Not 100% cedar, it’s a blend.
Would RecommendWould be nice if Lowe carried a 100% cedar mulch and not a blend. Cedar mulch does not attract bugs such as termites and the mulch lasts longer than other mulches. So when it is blend you lost some of the advantages.

I've been buying this specific mulch for a few years and love it. No coloring/dyes, all natural. Smells good too! Unfortunately it was not the available in the Herkimer store, this year, until the end of June so I had to substitute with a more expensive less worthy mulch. I'm so happy they finally got it (not their fault)
