I have a block home for over 40 years and always used tapcons to install timer boxes, hose reels and pipe fastening. They are always the brand I go to because they are super strong and dependable. Would RecommendThese screws work great to hold a 2 × 4 in place as a parking curb in my garage. They did require a 3/16" dia. × 1 1/2" deep hole drilled into the concrete, and a Torx T30 drive bit in my cordless impact device to secure the parking curb to the floor.

Would Not RecommendWorst experience ever with Tapcon. Used these to screw into patio block. 3 of seven screws twisted off at the head. These were black screws. Never had any problems with the blue ones or has Tapcon gone cheap?
