Hard to find battery

I was pleased to finally locate this battery at Lowe’s. This battery was needed for my smoke detector. The voltage needed made it difficult to find at other stores. It works well.

Same name...as is on my tactical light.

I’ve gotten quite a few flashlights and most use C123A. You can find these for 10.00 and up for a pair of batteries. You go to Lowe’s and buy a pair for half that. I’ll be in Lowe’s for something else, walk by the battery shelf and grab a pair!

I bought these batteries to replace the CR123A batteries in the Honeywell wireless smoke detectors that are part of my formal, monitored security system in my home. The system is a little older - installed in 2011 - and the panel does not report usage so I cannot say how much has been drawn since I put these in. For what it's worth, I installed these batteries on September 27th 2019, and three weeks later everything is still working fine. The old batteries from the manufacturer lasted for years ...

10 Year Battery For So Much Cheaper

I had to replace the batteries in my motion detectors recently and these were more than 60% cheaper than the name brands. Even if they only last half of the listed 10-year guarantee, then I still come ahead if I have to replace them again. A win-win as far as I am concerned.
