Not food grade usable

I had purchased one of these pitchers to use to store my vegetable juice that came out of a can in my refrigerator. Despite being constantly refrigerated mold and bacteria still grew in it and up on the lid far from contact with the juice. This can only happen if the plastic is non food grade material. So this product should be pulled immediately from market but since this is a well known problem by Sterlite I can only assume that they will never ever pull the pitcher and give a warning as deman...

Ease of handling

Arthritis hands have a problem with lots of containers. I have no problem with this pitcher. The very wide top helps me get the contents (tea, sugar, koolaid) etc. into the pitcher very easily and to stir.

Great pitcher

We had on older version of this pitcher for over ten years. I'm not sure how but the flip top lid cracked. We did not hesitate to buy another as a replacement.

Love this pitcher for ice tea! We have had several of these pitchers over the years. I replace it when the dishwasher takes its toll and the lid starts to leak. This is no way would cause me not to use Sterilite products in the future!

Gallon Picture

I love these pictures for keeping cold beverages pre made in the fridge.Very durable and easy to handle.Easy pouring as well.They also do not take up a lot of space in your fridge.

Durable

I have had this pitcher for YEARS and it still looks brand new. My only complaint is that the lid is a little difficult, to snap onto the pitcher as well as to press the plastic down to be able to pour. It's very tight. As a bonus, it being tight keeps thing fresher longer, and prevents some spills.

Great for Birdseed

Love this container to keep my birdseed dry and fresh. The 'pour' spout allow easy filling of my birdfeeders. I used to always have birdseed all over the sidewalk when I was done, but not since I started using this container to store and pour!

So durable and dependable!

I can honestly say that I have never owned a pitcher I like more than my Sterilite! It is THE pitcher I use for iced tea, which in the South is a "staple".....so I use it every day. Wouldn't be without one ever!

I like the pivot-top spout. I purchased this pitcher 2 years ago and it's very durable and, modern, and attractive.

This product is great for drinks that stain!

I have had this pitcher for many years. It is my favorite to make koolaid in. It does not stain like other pitchers I have bought. Once you get the lid on it is on tight. Getting it on with rheumatoid arthritis is a little difficult but I wouldn't trade this pitcher for any other. Just bought another one for my tea!!!!!

Great design--EXCEPT...

Great design--EXCEPT--buy 10 or so extra blue lids (there are suppliers on the Internet); these wear out at the pivot point of the yellow circular part. I find that the pitcher itself can be washed in the dishwasher. I think you can get away with washing the lids in the dishwasher if you're prepared to replace the blue part frequently. If you hand-wash the lid parts, the blue part needs to be replaced infrequently. The whole unit is inexpensive enough to simply buy replacements. I no longer see ...
