Would RecommendThe mailbox is good, not much really you can say about a mailbox, however the installation instructions leave a bit to be desired. The instructions say you need 36 inches of 4X4 post above ground to attach the mailbox to. They even say 32 inches is too short, make sure you have 36 inches. In reality, I left 36 inches above ground and it was 4 inches too long!!! You need 32 inches above ground to properly install the mailbox. I had to cut off 4 inches off the post with my saws all after it w...

Simple Installation
Would RecommendIn replacing a damaged Step2 mailbox, I was able to remove the old structure and place the new box in less than 15 minutes with limited tools. Fortunately, when the car hit the old mailbox, the 4"x4" post was undamaged, so it was very simple. The new structure fit well together and looks very nice.

Would RecommendNot one issue with this mail. Toughest part was digging a hole deep enough for a post. Clear directions on measurement requirements (although I did eye mine in for distance from the road), had to cut a little extra off my post because I couldn't get a full 24" deep below ground level. Used some quick set concrete and the rest was pretty easy. Would RecommendThe doors on the box. Although you can get them to close properly, they rub on the body of the mailbox slightly and will not allow them to close 100% with having to force them past the “rub point”. Once you get them past this point the magnets keep the box closed and “secure” but if you are not paying attention you could easily mistake the box for being fully closed and allow the door to remain open slightly.
