Ratings & Reviews for Square D X Series 15 -Amp 125-volt Tamper Resistant Residential Decorator Smart Compatible Outlet Receptacles , Matte Light Almond

Nice outlet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hardest part of these wifi outlets is trying to figure out where you want control over wifi. Aside from that, these are very nice tamper resistant outlets and the Eaton trim bezels are just as nice.

My home keeps getting smarter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already had some smart switches installed for home automation but this receptacle allows me to control plugged-in devices. I am using mine to control a space heater in my bedroom. I like that this has one controlled outlet and one is always on. It was easy to install and looks really nice. Easy to use with the Wiser Home app and I integrated mine with Alexa. Love this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s excellent addition to any smart home. It worked seamlessly in my current setup and works fast. Installation and set up was easy, simple, with clear instructions. A great addition to remodeling homes or just for the was of having wi fi and reducing energy use.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item is white and comes with the wall plate as well. It can be used with Wi-Fi so someone can easily turn on and off whatever is plugged in with ease. The directions were easy to follow and the install was quick and easy. There is a power button on the outlet to turn on and off the Wi-Fi receptor. Overall great product for making your house more of a “smart house”

Easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are upgrading all our yellowing outdated plugs and decided in Square D brand. So far we have been satisfied. Instructions were easy to follow and the plug was easy to install. We chose the wifi plug for the plug we use for our Christmas tree. This should make it sooo much easier to manage.

Good product but not great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install, liked the concept but did not work as good as I thought it would. Some components didn’t seem to work with this device. The components that did work I loved it. Easy install, worked on 75% of devices… a good product but not great.

Plays nice with others

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been upgrading our outlets as we redo rooms in our home. This Square D - WiFi receptacle had been a nice upgrade. It easily connected to our home network. I appreciate that this WiFi outlet is not as bulky as others, so it has a nice sleek look.

These are the most advanced outlets available!

Supports WPA3 security! Both outlets are Energy Monitored. One outlet is NOT controlled by the WiFi so critical items like a fridge could be safely connected. The Wiser Home app is very rudimentary, so don't expect anything other than Real Time power usage on both outlets and on/off on the top outlet.

Great for monitoring output

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This WI-FI electric monitoring outlet by Square D is a very good tool for monitoring your electric output and usage, especially if you have questions with your power bill. We started with one installation, and we plan to install them throughout the rest of the house in the near future. I recommend.

Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smart receptacle is great! It was very easy to install just by turning the breaker off to my bedroom and hooking up to the wires already there. Only needed a screwdriver. It works with Alexa and that was very easy for me to setup too since I already have the Alexa app on my phone. I love this thing and look forward to changing out all of my receptacles in my house!

Easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So glad we picked this one. It was easy to find, easy to install, it looks flawless on the wall, and it comes clean easily. I always just wanted to clean our old one up, when it started looking worn, but it was easier to just get a new one and install it.

Need app to install: iOS only, Not Android

I really did want this to work so I could integrate it with my Wiser Energy Monitor. For the outlets and switches to work as smart devices, an app is needed to "commission" the wifi. This process does not work on Android because the app is version 1.1.0, but the iOS app has been updated to 1.1.3. I opened case #87848204, and was told they had an Android version 1.1.3 internally, but that the Android app store had not been updated six months.

Handy item

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Square D- Wi-Fi 15A Tr Receptacle Energy Mon WH is an item that is handy to use during Christmas time to turn on our Christmas lights, plus, you can use it for many uses. The installation not difficult.

Works very well with our wifi and there's an app that's super easy to use. Very happy with the product. We've installed it near the beauty station and now I don't have to run home every time I think I forgot to turn off the iron or the hair flat iron. Such a great idea and device.
