The missing connection

There is a requirement that the neutral wire from the load circuit is also attached to this breaker as well as the Black wire. I bought one of these and found the missing attach point for the neutral wire. It is below the screw you see in the picture. The screw for this connection is slanted so that a screw driver can be used. On anther manufacturer's equivalent breaker the two screws are side by side. Installation of an arc fault circuit breaker.

We were required by local code to put in the arc fault breaker rather than a standard breaker for a new circuit. Was very easy to switch out. Probably took less than 10 minutes.

New standards mean changes, but with these new plug on neutral panels, these breakers are super easy to install! Change for the better!

Great IF you have a Series 4 load Center

Lowe's web site clearly states that the Homeline AFCI/GFCI Circuit Breaker is "Compatible with Homeline series 4 and newer load centers only" (which I did not review before going to the store). This information is also provided on the back of the package. Since I had a fairly recent load center, I thought that it might fit. The difference is somewhat visible in the packaging. The neutral plugs directly on the neutral bar eliminating the need to connect the old "pig-tail" wire. The configuration ...
