10 times better than cheap old work boxes
Would Recommendsuper secure and depth adjustable. I use to use the flappy eared boxes but these are well worth the extra cost.. one thing I did notice was as the screws pull in it sets the box slightly deeper than held position. So recommend holding box out a 1/16 -1/8 in. practice to dial in

Used to replace smaller box in ceiling
Would RecommendI used this 2 gang box to replace a smaller electrical box in the ceiling that is holding up a light. I was having a very loud squeak in the ceiling from the person walking around above. I lucked out and it was around where the light is. I used wood shims to stick in and fill gaps between the top of the joists and bottom of the subfloor above and it actually worked. I needed the hole larger to fit my arm up in the ceiling which is why I needed the larger box. This box works well but my o...
