Coated wire
Would RecommendI actually needed a single strand vinyl coated wire for a project. Lowe’s no longer carries cable that can be cut to measure. This was the best option, and I made it work. I now have most of a roll left, since I only needed about 12 feet. Wire is fine, selection is crappy. Shame on Lowe’s for becoming a place for flippers and contractors and not the common homeowner.

Would Not RecommendThe description did not specify if the wire was SPT-1 or SPT-2 so I zoomed in on the product photo and it said SPT-2. It arrived and was SPT-1 which did not work for my project.

Would Not RecommendPicture of product indicates SPT-2 insulation which is intended for exterior use since it is thicker. Ordered for store pick-up, and was given SPT-1. The "model" number on a sticker on the actual roll matches the model number shown online.

Convenient spool lengths.
Would RecommendThis was exactly what I needed to make custom Christmas light extension cords. Color does fade in the elements though, but I don’t believe it’s technically outdoor rated. One of the few stores that sells rolls and not just by the foot.
Great lamp wire
This lamp wire has slightly thinner insulation than the competitors. For this reason, I am able to tie a UL knot in the limited space that I work with when rewiring vintage plugs. It works great for me.
