What Customers Are Saying
The Southwire Romex SIMpull 8-2 Non-Metallic Wire is a durable and flexible electrical wire that performs well for 30-40 amp circuits. Customers praised its ease of use, noting the good jacket made it easy to pull through tight spaces. While a few reported issues with the wire being stranded rather than solid as advertised and some rolls being slightly short, the overall consensus is that this is a high-quality, affordable wire that meets expectations.

Stranded, Not Solid
Good product, however, the listing title/header for this #8 gauge wiring indicates it is "solid" when in is actually stranded (the ground wire is solid).

It’s wire, but not Simple Pull
Would RecommendIt’s wire & it will probably conduct electricity. Havent finished wiring but I’ll assume it will work. Simpul is a great marketing tag line, but it didn’t pull easy. 8 ga is hard to pull anyway and It went through some tight spots in conduit (wasn’t overfilling according to NEC) and I wished I’d bought some pulling lube.
Does what wire is supposed to do.
Would RecommendPulling this wire sucks because the jacket catches so easily, but it doesn't tear easily, which is a good thing. Overall, I'd say it moves electrons the way wire is supposed to. I didn't put a meter to check for loss, but I did run a 10 AMP motor over 100 feet away from the tie in and it didn't seem like there was a power drop.
